Mæxico Nørrebro — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

I went to Mæxico with a delegation of business partners, and expected fresh food and exciting tasteful interior design - was though left utterly disappointed.

Food was very disappointing for the price point (all you can menu for 14 persons): no special surprises, very bare; starters not very tasty; salad was old; spoons didn't fit to the containers and the containers fell; drinks contained almost no alcohol and were quite boring.

Atmosphere in the "special" room we got was pretty lame, with 30 kr party lights in the corner. Everything felt cheap and in no relation to the price point.

The evening before we went to Seaside Toldboden and got a dinner experience full of variation, fresh tasteful food, stylish surroundings at the same price point.

The place is okay if you don't expect much, and if you buy something cheaper. But the "All you can tacos and drinks"-menu for 399 kr per person is definitely a rip-off.

I wrote to the restaurant afterwards to share my experience, and got a reply stating that they can't understand my experienced, and asked me to elaborate. I've sent a longer email describing everything in detail, and didn't even get an answer on that.

We went as a group of 12, and they really went above and beyond to make sure we had a fantastic time.

Even though we had a few last-minute cancellations, they didn’t charge us for the no-shows, which was such a nice surprise. They also let us rearrange two tables into a big square and move some of the benches around to fit us better. Not many places would allow that, especially knowing they’d have to put it all back afterward, so huge points for their flexibility and customer service!

The staff was incredible at handling our complicated orders, and they didn’t miss a beat. At one point, they accidentally brought us an extra pitcher of drinks and just gave it to us for free—how nice is that?

Everyone working there was super friendly and professional, even though we probably weren’t the easiest group with all the table-moving and special requests. They made the whole experience fun and stress-free.

And the food was absolutely delicious so well done.

Went for Taco Tuesday and that experience was amazing, great price and the food is really really good. We also got a really spicy shot on the house. Special notice to the brazed pork burrito and oyster mushroom tacos🤤 I subtracted a star because I would NOT go there if it weren’t for Taco Tuesday because the prices are pretty outrageous🫨 69,- for two tacos, each taco is 1-2 bites of food. Other than the prices, the food, the atmosphere and the drinks are really tasty and it’s a great experience.
