Been here previously for drinks and enjoyed it.
Decided to bring my daughter for some food and a day out in Tivoli for her 12th birthday. We arrived about 10mins early for our booking reservation but were told the table was ready for us. We were brought to our table in the crowded restaurant where we were shoved, shoulder to shoulder, with the tables around us. 10 minutes later a waiter brought a flag to the table and ran off again. We waited 55 minutes, without speaking to another member of staff, waiting for a menu or even drinks. I can appreciate the restaurant was busy, but we tried again and again to get the attention of somebody who could take even a drinks order and give us the menu until they could eventually take our food order - but nothing!. After roughly an hour of waiting with no service, we left. I had specifically noted on the reservation that the booking was for her 12th Birthday. That was acknowledges by the staff by bringing the flag to the table. We sat for an hour, stuffed into our table where we needed the guests at the next table to stand up to allow us out, it was so tight. We sat for an hour, without so much as a glass of water or even an acknowledgement from the staff that we were still there. We sat for an hour and we didn't even get told "we're super busy, I'll get back to you asap". We sat for an hour, smiling and waving at staff as they served other tables, stood at the door chatting to each other or walked around aimlessly not serving anyone. We sat for an hour, then we left.
There are many. many other establishments available for food in Tivoli, and I look forward to trying them out next...
Read moreTl;dr: 100% a tourist trap; avoid. food seems to be heated from frozen, unsanitary and unbelievably overpriced. Service is weirdly inconsistent between tables (you might wait up to an hour for food) and we were charged for a 650kr bottle of wine that we didn't drink.
Dined in a party of 9 split into 2 tables.
Other table did not receive food until after we had finished. Water is provided in tiny bottles, is expensive and pushed often. No tap water available.
For the seafood pasta dish, the noodles were overcooked to the point of being gooey. The mussels were not washed properly and were full of sand.
The fish 'n' chips was a joke. 4 small fish nuggets and frozen oven chips.
Apart from the starters that were surprisingly nice when compared to how unbelievably bad the mains were, the food seems to all be heated from frozen.
We ordered 2 identical bottles of wine and were charged instead for one of what we ordered and another bottle over 3 times the price. Lesson learned. Scrutinise the bill next time.
I wish I had drunk that expensive wine in the end. Then I'd be better equipped to forget I...
Read moreWe have lunch with 2 kids Into Mikeller (Tivoli park). We ordered food and the Italian waiter was always kind and good service. My Kid was getting sick from a previous attraction, but suddenly he got sicker and vomit in the bathrooms entrance as he could not manage to arrive in time. I was worried about my kid so I did not put more attention into that. When we finished our lunch, paid as we were leaving, a different waitress, Pavlina, came to us to complain about our bad manners as we did not apologise because vomit’s kid. This situation / discussion happened in front of the kid, of course, he felt even worse for this situation: we do not care about her opinion, expressed in authoritarian/ superiority manners, but her behaviour in front of the kid was not acceptable. We asked to make a formal complaint about this situation, but we only got a phone number ( for us an international call). Think twice to go to this place, authoritarian manners fortunately from...
