Phønix Cafe & Restaurant — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

Just a 5 minute walk from Nørreport Station, Phønix Café & Restaurant is located in a very popular part of Copenhagen.

In the Summer months there are plenty of tables set out in the square so you can people watch to your heart’s content while you enjoy some very nice food and maybe a drink or two.

Inside, there is a very clean and cosy atmosphere. The staff are very polite, friendly and helpful.

The first time I visited this place, 7yrs ago, I tried the Caesar Salad, it was the best Caesar Salad I’d ever tasted.

Since then I’ve tried Caesar Salad in quite a few places in Copenhagen and this is still the best!

Don’t be fooled by the word ‘salad’ there’s plenty of chicken and bacon in this dish!

It’s always served with warm, freshly made bread which is the perfect accompaniment to the meal.

Food was mediocre at best and customer service does not exist in their books. One my friends ordered something and they came out with something else intirely and said its my friends fault. Plus we had to wait soooo long for the food to even come to us.

The only thing that was fast was the appatizer and the drink. And even then my friend had to wait 10 minutes FOR AN EMPTY GLASS WITH ICE.

Then when it came down to dessert we had to wait 20 minutes, after no response i asked one of the waiters and then finally after 10 more minutes i got a single terimisu that was soggy :/

Looks good from pictures but its a tourist trap to make you spend all of your money.

In total we got: 1 pina colada 1 water 1 coke zero (50 CL) 1 menu 2 1 ceaser salad chicken 1 sandwich (chicken, they messed this up so i had to pay extra aswell)

All of this for the low low price of...

Me and my wife decided to try this place since it look nice and cozy but we expected the opposite.We ordered the brunch menu,got out drinks first (coffee and oj.We are a tolerant couple but since we waited 45 mins. and start seeing the the other customers who got tables 10 mins. after us getting there orders already then we decided to talk to the waiters that we have to leave.Then came this guy out of nowhere (semi-balded) who I thought would be apologizing to us but instead he comment something rude and he was aggresive.A grown-up man, so unprofessionaly even want to start a fight with my wife, fight with a woman for Gods sake.What would have been a good day at Copenhagen turns to a worst day because of this 1 person. Never going back to this place again and will always remember this restaurant a unpleasant visit...
