Hej,
As me and my family entered our book table on Easter Saturday, we came to expect a great restaurant experience.
Unfortunately, we were wrong.
First note, your menus are relatively unorthodox and thus a bit confusing. As I requested your staff to guide me, we thought we had gotten great cuisine choice.
Secondly, the food and drink service. All came in a caotic order. First served:
A family arriving 15m later then us(?)
1/5 main dishes to our table
2/5 main dishes
Drinks
5/5 main dishes
Misu soup
No one offered water, nor came with our order in the expected order:
Drinks/Water
Misu soup
Main dishes
Incredible that these basics aren't in your restaurant. Never seen such disarray.
To top it off, 1/5 dishes you couldn't get a separate plate for. Rather suggesting we share plates. Are you out of plates? Amazing...
When it came to the food order, my intent was to get multiple nigiris to test your variety. The waiter was bad at communicating how the images are different from the actual order, so as I expected 12 pieces I instead received half.. not even on my own plate!
You guys are overcomplicating the presentation of a simple menu. Your staff isn't even knowledgeable nor service-minded enough to cater to new customers. Your ratings were a complete disappointment.
Never visiting this...
Read moretl;dr it's THE place to have Sushi in Copenhagen, I'd even go to say one of the best I've ever been to.
Most important the sushi or rather said their menu. It's not only sushi they serve, they have sticks, sashimi and different traditional Japanese dishes. It's just superb quality and they have lots of variety. I'd recommend the wagyu tartar, the NY Subway roll. They have great dessert and drinks too, so don't cheap out on that! Then there's the ambiance - it's just perfect. It's a few steps down to get in, that makes it just more cozy to begin with. They have comfy chairs and tables as well as interesting wall decorations in form of framed pictures and plaques. The lighting is a bit dim and there's nice and not to loud music. It just makes it feel so upscale based on the food alone without making you feel uncomfortable in any way. One little side-note: it is pricey but that's sadly how it is almost everywhere in Copenhagen, and you do get top notch food for the price. I'd recommend it for anyone looking for really great sushi and a place to spend a wonderful and relaxed evening in company or alone. Enjoy!
PS: I come here every chance I get, and will continue...
Read moreGreat place with extremely delicious food. We visited the day before Christmas and were lucky to get a free table. We orded various starters such as seaweed salad, Edamame and Rice paper filled with duck. all really good. We received a platter with beef on the house as they are closed over Christmas and didn't want the food to go to waste. We liked that. For the main course we orded the Sushi sister platter, which was outstanding! We even got it on the house as the restaurant thought we waited to long for it. This was very much appreciated! We also ordered ika tori and shake teriyaki with the platter but unfortunately never received it. When we asked for it, we were told that the kitchen is already closed. That was a bummer and therefore one star less. But it didn't stop us to order some delicious small deserts. In the end we can say that this is a great place to eat. The personell is very friendly and respectful and the food is delicious. It is without a doubt...
