Domino's — Restaurant in Higüey

TLDR: 80-90 minute long wait time for room temp pizza.

Just ordered online for the first (and last) time. The app is mostly straight forward and easy to use. The problem is everything else.

20 minutes after my order had been placed the online tracker stated that my order passed "Quality Verification". It also stayed on that status for the next 45 minutes.

After half an hour, I decided to call in to check on the status and all I got was "I just checked the status and the order is still in quality control". So... This brings up several rhetorical questions.

Is the statement on the online tracker incorrect? Does quality control take 45 minutes? Is your customer service rep confused and simply using a poor excuse?

I suppose all of the above is true, given that only after the order is placed is when I noticed the fine print stating that the delivery time is 81-91 minutes (I live 5 minutes away).

I get it, stack up on all the pizzas that are meant to go out for delivery and complete it all in one trip to save money.

The delivery guy was another headache to deal with, but I've ranted enough.

All of this said, obviously my expectations were VERY low for what would arrive; Room temp/unevenly sliced pizza. Frozen pizza from the super market would easily best...

We ordered chicken wings asked for very well done and they came out almost raw... then ordered a calzone and it was full of ricotta cheese... tried to eat it but it was horrible... then we ordered cheese bread with no hot peppers.... guess what... full of peppers..... they brought us a coke with glasses...we asked to remove the ice... never brought our glasses back....and we waited 45 minutes for our food... I will NEVER be back and Domino's is out for me.....

I need to add to this review... I wrote this review while I was sitting in the restaurant... after it was written the waitress saw that I was not happy and came to get the plates.. she returned a while later with replacements and the food was descent... because she did this I will revise...

My husband and I ordered a large pizza with sausages, pepperoni and extra cheese along with 12 buffalo wings well done and two Sprites. We received the most disgusting food ever. The chicken was practically raw; not fully cooked. The pizza was burnt and did not have the extra cheese we paid for and they sent two Coco colas instead of Sprite. My husband called to complain about the food and was told to provide pictures. Well he did just that and they in return sent another burnt pizza and didn’t replace the chicken or Colas. We paid 2192 Dominican pesos for that garbage food....
