La Locanda - Malecón — Restaurant in Santo Domingo

The whole experience itseld was not bad, however there are major things to improve. For one, they did not have mushroom of any kind available at the time to visit so I was forced to accommodate accordingly, two individuals of the group had their service or order way after we all finished ours and, funny enough, theirs was the worse both presentation and taste regardless of how simple it looked. My order consisted of steak which was considerably non salted enough and was also the case for another individual of the group order (salmon), but this I can forgive was you can always add more per your liking.

The drinks menu were although better than most places the staff were not sure which Wiskey(S) are available and which one were not. Apart from this, they were sometimes slow to pick the order from the group but they also were kind and polite to allow a good environment at the place.

I ordered a gnocchi in a Funghi porcini sauce and they added too much wine. It was bitter and I couldn’t eat it, no matter how hard I tried (the waitress didn’t specify it having alcohol). When I asked her if I could change it without paying extra, she said she’d have to ask and when she came back she didn’t answer my question but asked me which one I wanted, so I told her. They charged me for both dishes at the end without telling me they would. Please be more specific about what you’re doing for a customer and know more your ingredients, you don’t know who’s allergic to alcohol.
