CAUTION: Don’t expect any kind of service or respect! If you’re a tourist, their main goal is to get the most money for nothing in return. We ordered juice and the fruits wasn’t fresh and tasted rotten. They offered me for free (after a discussion) to change the fruit and charged it to the bill after it, without telling me, what it costed. When I got the bill, I asked them and they told me, I should have asked what it costs it’s not their problem. I said that I feel betrayed and they didn’t said anything to me about it. In the mean time they called the police without telling me too. The “touristic police” came with 5 people. None of them will speaks english by the way. I understand spanish but can’t speak it so good. The wateriest told them, that I’m stupid for drink a juice without sugar and milk and makes fun of me and just told them, that I didn’t want to pay. What was obviously false because I put the money already on the counter. I didn’t understood the situation and the reason for the police. The wateriest told me smiling that this is the consequence, if I’m in there land and say something against them. They’re always right. They didn’t know any kind of service and will lie to the police if necessary about the complete situation. I learned my lesson that the touristic police will not help you, that I’ll never visited these location again and also warn my friend about this place. I hope I can warn some strangers about this way too. If you want to go there, just pay, doesn’t except anything and never complain, if you don’t want to be in conflict...

Read moreThis cute little place with friendly service and great prices became our favorite place to eat in Santo Domingo, and we stopped in several times during our one- week visit. We especially liked the Caprica, the one with ripe plantains, and the one with eggplant. It's a good place for vegetarians to eat. The service was quick and friendly, and the seating area was comfortable. It seems very clean and has a nice restroom. You can pay with cash or credit card. The servers were friendly, and their fresh juice drinks were also delicious. Definitely give this...
