The food is really good, that is why people come here, to eat delicious traditional food cooked very good. However, the old charm of the restaurant disappeared, it used to be smaller, with photos of the owner lady with different people, displaying different original objects on the walls, very cozy, traditional, personal, a place with a heart. Now since it got modernized, on two floors, with a space dedicated for the grill area (before that they were grilling in the street and no one seemed to mind that), it lost its old authentic, traditional vibe. It became commercial, without an identity, walls are empty, nothing from the old traditiobal spirit anymore. I was sad to discover this. And is so loud inside at the peak hours, it is crowded and you feel like you eat in a train station. Plus, you have to wait a lot to get a table if you reach in the peak hours, and there is no space dedicated for those who wait, you have to wait outside, in the street, even 30 minutes. Overall, the food is good, and if you go there earlier, it shouldn't be that crowded or that noisy. I recommend the food there 100% but I don't recommend the place itselfto eat in, takeaway is...
Read moreThis place is amazing like home cooked food ! Came here with a few friends and this place did not disappoint! The service was good and the atmosphere was very nice! The weather was very hot outside but the air conditioners make it cozy and nice inside . Great place to enjoy same type as home made cooking in any occasion! The food was great! So many options to choose from! Some of the dishes we tried had very flavorful sauces! We couldn’t stop mixing them with the other dishes! I would suggest trying their grilled chicken with rice and vegetables and salad. The quantities were good for the prices , Would definitely recommend this place and would love to come back to try the other dishes! Don’t forget to ask for your hot bread to be crispy.Overall prices and service were create plus the food was like grandma's cooking..Take your loved ones if you wanna get...
Read moreI had the pleasure of dining at El Dar Darak recently and was thoroughly impressed by the quality of both the food and service. The lamb chops (coletele de berbecut) were absolutely delicious, tender, flavorful, and perfectly cooked. The beef kebab and beef leg also stood out for their rich taste and exceptional preparation. It's my third time in Egypt and i have never eaten anywhere local food like this. What truly enhanced the experience, however, was the interaction with the manager. Her kindness and heartfelt warmth were truly remarkable, making the atmosphere feel welcoming and personal, adding an extra layer of delight to the meal. I strongly recommend El Dar Darak to anyone looking for flavorful dishes paired with genuine hospitality. It was a dining experience I...
