McDonald's Tahrir Branch — Restaurant in Cairo

1st experience, staff on the shop floor too busy chatting and on there mobile phones, waited 15mins for my food and when I recieved it, all of it was cold and one meal missing. Resent the whole order back to bring it back hot, 2nd experience, again staff on shop floor too busy chatting and on there phones, I emphasised to the manager, I am on my way to the airport if you they can slightly make it quicker, same again, no care in the world and staff just baffled as to which order they are dealing with. So I had to put my foot down and tell them it's been 10-12mins for my order and its still not ready yet, and all of them started running around like a headless chicken as they didn't have a clue as to what was ready and wasn't ready. Finally after 15mins managed to get my order ready, as I was walking put the staff on the shop floor was having giggles with each other, 3 of them just laughing away like there's no work to do, this was the same case on the first experience aswell. I would sack the lot of them and re-staff the whole team who is keen to move the business with...

What you generally expect from a McDonald's place beside some other local additions that you will only see in this particular location because it is facing the AUC you get to see more foreigners than usual, but this is not everything you also get to see for some unknown reason some tired workers who just look, I don't know but my cashier looked like she hasn't slept in three weeks and was looking at me with exhausted eyes as I approached the counter to place an order. It is a mostly crowded location if you visit around the time when schools are dismissing students. I even saw a couple of students biting at their meal while doing some math homework. You will get to enjoy the place and make memories there or at least that is what happened with me. Despite McDonald's efforts to keep things consistent across restaurants it doesn't seem that any other McDonald's hold the same place in my heart maybe because it was at the cross roads of multiple phases of my life. I will still give it a 4 for the tired worker...

More than 30 minutes' wait for a simple double burger with a coffee; the burger itself turned out to have been sitting in front of me as I was waving my receipt number around at the staff trying to guess what had happened to my order.
