A Pyramid-Perfect Stay at Piccolo Mondo ⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐

We arrived at Piccolo Mondo late at night, slightly frazzled from Cairo traffic and giving each other that look when we saw the building façade. But then—like a magic trick—Ahmed, the wonderful owner, appeared downstairs and whisked us up in a charmingly rustic lift.

The moment the doors opened, our worries vanished. We stepped into an oasis of Italian stone floors and décor straight out of a glossy magazine. And then… the curtains were drawn, revealing the view. The pyramids. Right there. To die for. Honestly, we could have stayed in the apartment and stared out the window all trip.

Ahmed is the kind of host who makes you feel like an old friend. He gave us brilliant tips, helped us source “supplies” (the beer run deserves its own five-star review), and was always up for great conversation.

The next morning, a lovely lady magically appeared in the kitchen to prepare a breakfast feast—falafels, omelette, salad, cheeses, and more. The kitchen itself is fully stocked with tea, coffee, and pantry essentials, so you’re set whether you want to cook or just brew up and lounge by the window.

Would we stay here again? 100%. In fact, Ahmed might have to kick us...

We went on a Saturday do it was a bit crowded but we made a reservation the day before. We insisted to have a table with the view so we refused to be seated where the waiter intended at the beginning, we didn’t wait for long to be seated where we wanted so that’s a point. Mina was our guy, he’s very respectful and he even brought us dessert on the house. The food was good, nothing special about it but it was delicious. They have good range of liquor but it was pricey. The restaurant is pricey in general but the atmosphere makes it worth it. If you’re looking for a romantic dinner...

When you come in a date You expect the staff to be more friendly However they weren’t even the average friendly . Reservation is bad , you cant reserve a certain table even if its on a definite time period The food was outstanding Decorations are delightful The view was amazing which we actually got to see after 2 hours when a table directly on the nile view was available. Its a beautiful place sadly the people there aren’t helpful enough even with giving couples good photos...
