Read morei’m not one to write reviews, but this experience must be shared. the nobu style popcorn shrimp and the shrimp tempura were okay, but that was the last of the edible food on the table that night. first of all they praise their foreign chef, like he is the a god of some sort, while he really knows nothing about food. The menu does not flow at all, i see they’re trying to be different but there is no correlation whatsoever. everything was bad, the wedges with cheese were dry, the cheese was supposed to be melted but it was as if they melted it in the microwave and left it to dry. my friends ordered the salmon, the burger and the chicken masala, all of them could not finish their food. I ordered the safest possible thing you could order at a restaurant, a penne arrabbiata, it was so bitter, i had two spoons and i returned it. we had a nice night with friends regardless but we were still hungry so we decided to order dessert. the waiter recommended the chocolate fondant and the apple tart. the chocolate fondant came COLD and the manager tried to convince me that chocolate fondant is supposed to be served cold because their “foreign chef” says so. I think the bare minimum for one to become a manager at a restaurant, is to have this basic experience to know if certain dish’s are meant to be served hot, or cold, especially with something as basic as a chocolate fondant! He then told us sorry we already put it on the check and insinuated that we might as well eat it. we refused so he took it to the kitchen and heated it up, in what seemed to be the microwave, and again we refused to eat it. I refused to pay for it, just because of his remark about the check, and he would not remove it, until a friendly waiter came and dealt with the problem and removed off the bill. In a nutshell one of the worst experiences i’ve had at a restaurant, not only with the manager and their “foreign know it all chef” but with dish after dish of inedible food. Next time you think about going...
Read moreFirst I will talk about the place, the atmosphere is amazing and the decorations are very picturesque, the place is psychologically comfortable and the music is very good as well as the level of cleanliness, but what did not please me was the treatment in which I felt racist today, I am used to entering many hotels such as Marriott, Hilton, Sofitel, Fairmont and others and I have never seen rudeness like what I saw in that restaurant where I was not okay with the way the head waiter dealt with us, he did not smile at us at all and he felt very upset when we entered the place and when we ordered he told us that we must order dessert with drinks which is something I did not understand and when we asked the waiter he told us that instead of telling you to leave the place I gave you another option that you can use. Well, this is frankly wrapped in unforgivable rudeness and he justified that by saying that the place is only for lunch and dinner, so why are there desserts and drinks on the menu in the first place, and the head waiter only smiled when my friend and I told him that we were finished and wanted the bill, really how insulted I felt, as for the drinks, I did not like the iced cafe at all but the cheesecake was amazing. I do not recommend going to the place at all, especially if you intend to drink or eat sweets, because the head waiter will have tears in his...
