At the beginning it was one of my favorite sushi places in Egypt. Used to be my go-to and comfort food place. That was until around 2 months ago when the quality of both the service and the food began to plummet horrendously. They stopped sending complementary teriyaki sauce, then they started sending soy sauce containers that are only a quarter or so full. Then they sent me an order without chopsticks. Then every order after that, the sauce was spilled all over the box and the sushi was prepared in a very unappetizing manner. But the straw that broke the camel's back was when I ordered the new crispy roll, which I have ordered at least 10 times before, and I was sent a Philadelphia roll. When I complained to talabat support about it, they said the restaurant is saying I'm wrong and I received the correct roll. They've also been raising prices every couple of days routinely. And they took the fried Philadelphia roll off the menu. I don't know what changed and led to this disaster but I cannot support a restaurant that doesn't respect their customer and calls them a liar even when they provide proof. It's extremely unfortunate that it has come to this since I've probably ordered more times than I can count from here but this is where I draw the line. Do better or lose...

It is very hard to find sushi in Cairo which is not ridiculously overpriced (considering the price of making sushi at home - 100 pieces can cost you 50-200l.e. depending on ingredients)
Delivery is quite fast and orders are mostly correct. As every sushi place I visited in Cairo, they have a problem with amount of wasabi - again, it's an easily accessible ingredient that one does not need to be cheap about!
As for dining-in, the place is not very well prepared. There are only 4-5 tables. Few times I visited there were some boxes laying around, access to the toilet was difficult because of some random board laying on the way. There is no particular design of the place, it looks completely generic. But the plating is ok, stuff is attentive and speaks English.
As everywhere in Cairo - you have to count your bill by yourself because for some reason very often the price you pay is different than the price of your food.
That said, I go back there as often as I can, maybe because of sentiment or simply, it is quite nice...
Read moreIn general, compared to other sushi restaurants that I've visited, it's at the end of the list in my opinion.
The noodles was good and the quantity is perfect.
The sushi platter had no pickled ginger nor Wasabi which was surprising and disappointing.
The pieces that had shrimp in it was good because the shrimp wasn't frozen it was fresh and you could taste it. This gives them a point because compared to the other sushi places I tried it was a first.
The bad thing is that the quantity of rice in the sushi pieces was too much it literally covers the taste of the filling unless you remove the rice so it was really bad. Also I was surprised they didn't give us chopsticks I had to ask for them which didn't make sense because this is a sushi place they should be giving chopsticks without asking, like what am I gonna eat with?
The staff were helpful.
But in general, I wouldn't go there again there are...
