I booked this hotel mainly cause it was the meeting point for a couple of intrepid day tours i booked (ie for convenience). Friendly and efficient check in after midnight. I used their free airport shuttle upon arrival very safe and reliable (only offered one way). Close to a metro station (tho i choose to use ubers like cad $2-5 wherever u need to go in downtown since the hotel is in dokki, giza). Looks like some floors are going thru renovations. Nice rooftop bar and decent breakfast. My room had a mini fridge, king bed and good AC. Breakfast is included and it is good buffet breakfast. Hotel staff is friendly and nice. Location is not bad (al-Dokki area); just on the other side of the river Nile from the Tahrir Square. Food outlets and shopping area are close by (walking distance) and so is the Tahrir Cinema. I would prefer Downtown area if you could find a clean hotel (I checked about six hotels there - all...

I suppose rooftop cocktails and Cairo don't necessarily go hand-in-hand, but I would expect the basics!
The staff, however, were very kind and genuine.
The vintage feel of this hotel, its location, plus its rooftop have so much to offer....a real missed...
