Olives — Restaurant in Red Sea

This restaurant is located as you enter the marina. Quite a large area for seating, we arrive just after 10am. The restaurant had only a few customers. We fancied an iced coffee and ordered the iced mocha. We then forgot what our reps from TUI told us, don't order anything with ice in Hurghada lol. The drinks came and it wasn't what we ordered but hey ho. The drink tasted watered down and almost a chlorine like taste. I think its an issue to get really good coffee in Egypt. Prices are reasonable. If we were hungry we would have had food. Our tummies were OK the following day. I am sure this place comes alive in the evenings. Staff were polite...

Very slow service, and when the waiter came he was being rude and condescending, especially to women. We ordered the continental and the English breakfast. On paper it looks like a good variety, but when the food arrives only half the things that was on the menu is on the plate. For the English breakfast there was no beef bacon, no beans and no fruit salad. The juice is of very poor quality and the bread is clearly microwaved, as it is warm, hard and chewy.

There is guaranteed better options in the Marina than this...

We dropped into Olie's after a walk around Hurghada Marina, and was not disappointed. I had the most refreshing ice cold pint of Heineken, and some food. I had the Mixed Grill platter, and it was cooked to perfection and tasted fantastic, my wife had Kofta wrap and Greek salad and she couldn't fault either.

Mohamed our waiter was so nice and very chatty, and looked after us so well.
