Friends Restaurant — Restaurant in South Sinai

This team is really amazing. I was living in dahab for 1 year and this was by far my favorite restaurant in that time. My friend and I eat here I think more than 100 times haha.

They remove the tissues that I had stuffed under my plate from the tables, looking at each table for questions or orders, where other restaurant employees are waiting in a corner or not actively open to questions from customers. They always clean the tables in between & pour you water from the bottle. They know how to talk English but always repeat everything to make sure no mistakes are made. Change your ashtray after every cigarette.

The restaurant is not extremely luxurious, but the dishes are not expensive and for me above quality than the other cuisine on the mamsha. I noticed that the others are more expensive & they provide lower quality, in my opinion

They also have large bowls with different types of seafood fish that we see being served continuously.

All the waitstaff are liars!! The service is terrible, wifi is weak. I was walking in front of the restaurant and one of the waiters persistently tried to invite me in. When I entered this restaurant, I ordered tea and said I wanted a table with a view of the ocean because two of the four tables with ocean view were open. But they said I could not stay there and that they could take me to a table on the ocean side after one of the two groups that were already dining had left the restaurant. When I told them I wanted to move to a table on the ocean side after one of them had left, they said they could not take me there unless to order a meal.They never said a word about that when I entered the restaurant. Friends was a great place in the past, but now it is not. I visit Dahab since 2010 and I was a frequent visitor of this place. Back in 2010 I will definitely put 5 stars. Today I visited this place with my friends and we were all disappointed and not planning to visit this restaurant again. Discount which was promised at the beginning was cancelled immediately once we seated. It was our mistake that we decided to stay after that I was expecting high quality of food and service. But the food was average, starters were delivered after we reminded and only after we finished soups. ¼ Chicken which my friend ordered - was looking like some bones with minimum of meat.
