BEST SPOT in Tallinn central area? Well, VERY HAPPY to find this place as I was walking along the charming Müürivahe Street. GREAT COFFEEEE, GREAT SERVICE. GREAT AMBIENCE.
Open for breakfast and until around 11pm. Think it's the BEST place in Tallinn for all day great simple food and coffee, plus alcohol if you choose. It's surprising to see all the tables even outside fully occupied at 11pm last night.
And very nice setting, really interesting, hard to photograph. Must Puudel is a MUST for the intrepid traveller. I would be most surprised if you didn't like it.
Very friendly happy staff here, who advised of 2 daily lunch specials for the day, costing only €5 each. I chose the beautifully cooked baked potatoes with mushroom 🍄 sauce. So yum, also came with alfalfa sprouts, nicely slice cucumber noodles and some lettuce.
Well, for that price, service, quality, and atmosphere, I would go back every day. And said to the lovely young lady that I would be back tomorrow.
So I must head out now on my bike ride for the afternoon to Pirita Beach and Kadriorg, is the Presidential Palace. Would be quite happy to live there.
While your here, hire a bike. So nice. As I'm here for over 2 weeks, I bought a great second hand bike road bike, including spare parts, from City Bikes at 29 Vene Street. Light and I had new slightly thicker tyres and new tubes, and the next day rode from Tallinn to Viljandi for the Folk Festival on last Saturday night. Sunday morning rode to Soomah Rahvus Park to visit one of the North East bogs, 34 deg, 80k in 4 hours plus 10km walk. Shirt was salt encrusted after the sweating.
So Must Prudel is a...
Read moreI am a regular customer at the cafe and generally love the place, but.. I came in on the weekend for a family dinner and as a dessert my sister ordered a vegan cake, and the young girl who waited us confirmed several times the cake in fact was vegan. As my sister started to eat, it was clear the cake was a regular cake. When asked from a different staff member, they confirmed it was a regular cake.. I do understand that mix ups appear, especially as the staff in the restaurant scene changes often. The most disappointing thing here was that none of the waitresses even apologized for the mix up, not to mention taking the item off from our final bill. I tried to imply on the mistake they made but the two girls couldn’t care less about it. My sister has an intolerance for milk products, not an allergy, thankfully. Nevertheless, it was definitely not a pleasant experience. Very sad, especially as Must Puudel used to be one of my favorite places thanks to their breakfast as well as lunch and dinner options for different dietary preferences. I hope the managers put more attention on educating their new staff members about their menu as well as the cake options (the tags are mixed up quite regularly!) to avoid more serious health threats, but also on how to handle situation when someone does...
Read morei am a tourist in estonia and found this place. The place is cosy & the food was good. However the service was horrible. Atleast the waitress I had was very rude. She didnt smile at all, she wasn’t attentive at all, yet when she talks to other customers who are locals, she is chatty and smiley. After I ate, I asked her if I could have the leftover packed to go, but she said no she has to ask if thats possible (which is strange, but i said ok). I waited 20 mins while she was serving other tables, chatting with her colleagues, and completely ignoring the fact that i am waiting for a response about my leftover food. She passed by me 10 times and never gave me an answer! I then had to ask another waitress (that happened to pass by), and the 2nd waitress immediately said “yes ofcourse u can have ur food packed for take away”. The 2nd waitress then took my plate and packed it in under 2 minutes! So i don’t understand why the 1st waitress made me wait and said that she needs to ask for such a simple request! I am a tourist and i had high hopes for this place. Never...
