Love love love Kofeman ❤️ a fabulous cafe on the edge of the old town square so close to the Christmas market we just loved this place! As you walked in the atmosphere wrapped you up like a big warm hug and your heart missed a beat hoping there would be room for us! Don’t be fooled as it is cosy and small but there is seating upstairs too! On cold December days with snow on the ground we ventured in twice on our holiday and were lucky both times to find seats and blankets are on handy if you want to defrost after walking about! Go up to order you will pass lots of gingerbread gifts to take home for just €3 and a free Kofeman card comes with it! On the first day we decided to skip the delicious looking apple cake and come back for that another day so sampled the Snickers cake and it was yummy. Coffees are excellent and they made me an expresso macchiato on request which was so cute 😊 we could not leave Tallinn without popping in on our last day and were lucky enough to find a table again 🙏 but never give up as people come and go quickly so worth waiting! Sadly the apple cake had sold out but we went for the Snickers cake again and it was was delicious 😋 One funky thing to mention apart from the fabulous ambience and decorations all around was venturing upstairs to find the secret door to the toilet with my till receipt from our drinks in my hand as told the password for the loo was at the bottom of the receipt! How quirky! I was faced with a wall full of books in a bookcase and for a minute I was hesitant but then saw the keypad at eye level in front of me and entered the password to a trendy clean toilet and washroom! So overall our experience here was fabulous, make sure it is on your agenda!!! You will be so...
Read moreI was so disappointed with the service and the quality of the coffee. I ordered a double espresso and I was charged 3,60 (a single is 1,50, how does this make any sense?) and it tasted kind of spicy? not sure how that could even be. Also they are buying positive reviews (if you show them your 5 star review they’ll give you a free cookie). Also they’re just plain rude and speak to you in Russian by default (I’m not even personally offended by this but I can imagine how any Estonian would feel). The workers belong at a soviet canteen, not in a café.
EDIT: I have just seen their reply and I’m speechless?? how did I humiliate anyone and what 60 cents? 💀💀 I paid that price because I would definitely pay that and more for a good specialty coffee. But what I got was spoiled beans (I know what I’m talking about). It’s shameful how they can’t take any criticism and proceed to lie and disqualify any negative opinions. Ridiculous soviet canteen...
Read moreOrdered a latte and a flat white to take away and was thoroughly confused to find that the flat white contained more liquid than the latte, when the flat white was advertised as 200ml and the latte was 350ml. I asked if they had made a mistake, but they said they hadn't. I was surprised that the latte still tasted weak, despite having less milk than advertised. I asked them to make me a 350ml latte, as advertised, and to add an extra shot of espresso. They charged me for this, so I think it cost me around 6€ in total for a very average coffee, and it still wasn't 350ml because of the huge amount of foam on top (lattes are not supposed to have as much foam as cappuccinos, which raises questions about the staff training). I left very disappointed and won't return. Get your...
