My first negative review.
I am DISAPPOINTED and feel cheated.
Everywhere and in every video there was information that "we make pizza "ON" corn flour". In the end it turns out that the pizza is made with regular flour, but (!) a mixture of 7 different types of flour, but which types of flour exactly - can't be told the customer. It turns out that the pizza is ONLY ROLLED out ON corn flour. Are you kidding me? 😂 They are very proud that the dough is sourdough - in most restaurants, pizza is made with sourdough. I went specifically for a pizza made with corn flour and sourdough, but I didn't get it. I asked to bring Parmesan - they brought about 20-30 grams of Parmesan, grated not on the smallest grater. It is not very clear how that grated cheese was supposed to be suitable for sprinkling almost cooled pizza. And the amount of cheese ... is simply ridiculous ...I should have brought it with me. // Best of the best - service! 10 out of 10. The waiters are friendly and professional! //
The pizza is not much different from other restaurants - for example, Pomo and others. As it turns out, I'm not the only one who fell for the "corn flour" pizza ad - several other friends are...
Read moreThis place gets a lot of hype, but honestly, I don’t really understand why. The pizza was good and also the pesto risotto, but everything else was just okay. We tried a few different pastas, and they all turned out to be quite bland.
What really bothered us, though, was the loud music and the service. When I’m having dinner with my family, I don’t want to hear a loud Katy Perry cover in the background. We politely asked our waitress if they could turn the volume down, but she said it wasn’t possible.
On top of that, our water glasses were empty for most of the meal. It may seem like a small thing, but we had to ask for refills ourselves because our waitress didn’t check in on us at all.
Another issue was the wait time. We were told the pizzas would take about 15 minutes, but they ended up taking closer to 40. While the rest of the food arrived, those waiting for pizza had to sit and watch others eat. That’s totally understandable if it’s busy, but it would’ve been better if they had just given us a more accurate estimate.
Overall, it was an okay experience, but nothing I’d go out of my way...
Read moreFirst of all, great, friendly service and relaxed atmosphere with nice music in the background.
Secondly, overall food was great, with a little caveat.
Vitello tonnato was tasty, but unusual. Sauce was perfect, but the meat was slightly cured beef. Unusual but tasted still great.
The pizzas, were delicious, took a bit of time to get them but if anything that was great in order to enjoy dinner. We had one with bacon and caramelized onions. Tasted awesome. The second pizza was a light version of Diavola called Friedman. Also tasted great. And the dough was nice, light, airy and crispy… however, I think they cover the crust with semolina, which tastes stronger as you bake it and I personally didn’t like it (if you got rid of it, pizzas would be perfect). Others might have a different taste though.
My definite favorite pizza style is Neapolitan, but this “Brooklyn” style as also very good, although perhaps not the MOST authentic Brooklyn pizza one would expect.
Still, all in all, tasty, lovely experience...
