We came to this place specifically for the bar, which is located in the basement and accessed through a wardrobe. This wasn’t our first visit and last time we were really impressed by the atmosphere and cocktails. The prices are a bit high for the cocktails, but the drinks are delicious and you can really taste the alcohol. We ordered The Real McCoy which was served with lemon sorbet. Our impression of this cocktail was mixed - it’s interesting but an acquired taste, as it’s made with whiskey. Another cocktail we tried was the Tropic Guayaba made with guava and rum. The rum was prominent and the presentation was great, cocktail had a delightful tropical flavor. The best cocktail we’ve had here by far was Parrot’s Modern G&T. It’s huge but also the most expensive drink on the menu. The size is incredible and it’s definitely shareable between two people. This cocktail has a very refreshing taste and is easy to drink, so I highly recommend it. The atmosphere is very unique - the entrance to the bar through the wardrobe adds a sense of mystery and secrecy. Exiting through a cage also enhances the vibe. The concept is just fantastic! The bar menu is quite extensive. We wanted to try the signature cocktails, but they also offer the classics. Keep in mind that if you want to get into the bar, you may have to wait a bit as entry is selective and not immediate for everyone. Overall, it’s a great spot and I highly...
Read moreParrot minibar is a well kept secret in the heart of Tallinn. Right off the bat I need to point out the quality of the service. Our waitress was very friendly, attentive and polite. Surprisingly a rare encounterment really. 👍 The cocktails were very good. Well made, fun and tasty. They definitely put their time and heart into the chemistry and are not afraid to try out something new. Now when it comes to food I will not criticize the flavours nor the finess in which it's executed. Everything was tasting good and looked beautiful, but... As it comes to the price of what You get, it rises some uncertainty. We were eager to try the Milky Way, but over 100 EUR pricetag + the drinks made us reconcider. It's definitely not a place for the everyday Joe and perhaps the expectations perecieved the reality. The food comes in bites and is not designed to provide a full meal. I didn't get a WoW effect this time, and started to look for a meal shortly after our visit. Nevertheless sometimes is a good thing to leave a bit hungry for more and as said it's more of a high end nip'n'dip rather a full meal restaurant. I will return to explore more of the parrot's secrets and have a clearer idea of their concept now. Hat off again for the welcoming service and friendly staff. See...
Read moreOh man this restaurant.. It's something different. Well it's probably not one of the best restaurants in Tallinn, it's one of the best restaurants I've ever been - anywhere.
Absolutely lovely interior with the little jungle vibe, vintage and nice open kitchen. Our waiter was just amazing and the service here is top notch.
But the food. We ate the fish cookies, ceviche, picanha and churros to end the night with. The fish cookies was probably one of the best bites of food we both had ever had. We had to order more with the main dish just because it was so good. Ceviche was absolutely great too with lots of different levels with the taste. Picanha! I want to travel back to Tallinn just to have more of it. Perfectly cooked, delicious, generous dish with lots of meat. Churros were top tier too, the chocolate sauce had some little salt in it to make it not too sweet. Cocktails really really good too!
We will come back,...
