The stuff which coordinates visitors are awful! I had the ticket for second balcony. I arrived in the nice of time to theatre. I told to administrator which checked my ticket where was toilet. She asked that I have to go to second balcony and there go to toilet. She found the man who lead me to this balcony. Exactly to opposite side where my ticket was located... I talked to local administrator at that balcony about toilet location. She told me that it not enough time to go now. I have to go there during intermission after first act. I started to argue this opinion... At that moment they closed all doors and ballet had been started. Finally I had to wait 35 minutes for visiting toilet there! I found this inappropriate behavior. BTW if there is free place you can move to it without any problem. They could even suggest me to seat to parter there were quiet enough free places. Medea is quiet good technical performance. However, it doesn't show emotional for such kind of tragedy as it should be if consider the plot of play. Can't recommend this ballet for visiting. Also, I found price too high for performance...
   Read moreWent to see 'The Nutcracker' (which was new to me) along with a friend who had never been to the opera. Keenly felt the responsibility of inducting a newbie in opera-world. It was a joy from start to finish, and looks like I have a convert! The opera was a charming confection with a heartfelt story at its core- well sung, played and acted. The building is in great shape and interval drinks/cakes were exceptionally good, beautifully presented, nicely served, well staffed. Tickets are not expensive at all (as a tourist) - so if you've never been to the opera, try this house for starters. Just don't blame me if...

Nimelt on tegemist moderniseeritud "PĂ€hklipurejaga", mis on toodud visuaalse esteetika poolest osaliselt kaasaega - nĂ€iteks paistavad aknast klaasist pilvelĂ”hkujad ja lapsed mĂ€ngivad toas videomĂ€ngu. Korteri kujundus kĂ”lgub kuskil kahe ajastu vahel - vaatamata mĂ”nele ĂŒksikule 19. sajandi esteetikast lĂ€htuvale elemendile on selge, et see ruum ei saanud siis olemas olla, ja kuulub pigem tĂ€napĂ€eva. Ka kostĂŒĂŒmide, ĂŒldise lavakujunduse ja videokunsti lahendused on arusaamatud. Paljud kostĂŒĂŒmid jĂ€tavad odava mulje, vĂ€rvide omavahelisele suhtele vist mĂ”eldud ei ole. Videoprojektsioonid, ehkki ma usun et need ei ole AI genereeritud, jĂ€tavad jĂ€llegi oma odavas vĂ€limuses kohati sellise mulje. KĂ”ik see kokku vĂ”tab traditsioonilisest jĂ”uluballetist "PĂ€hklipureja" Ă€ra kogu soojuse ja maagilisuse. Oodates sellelt etenduselt pĂ”gusat vĂ”imalust reaalsusest pĂ”genemiseks vĂ”i vĂ€hemalt millegi maagilise kogemiseks, on ÀÀrmiselt pettumust valmistav kui vastu vaatab kĂŒlm projektsioon pilvelĂ”hkujatest.
Lavastaja jÀreldus, et tuttavliku ja maagilise (vÀidetavalt aja jooksul kadunud) duaalsuse taastamiseks, tuleb balleti esimene vaatus tÀita tÀnapÀevaste elementide ja viidetega, ei ole minu jaoks veenev. Argisel ja maagilisel (teine vaatus) saab ka teisiti vahet teha ning ma ei alahindaks laste vÔimet suhestuda mÀnguasjadega, mis pÀrinevad kasvÔi 19. sajandist, ja nende mÀnguasjadega seotud jÔuluelevusega.
Mis puutub tantsulisse poolde, siis seda ei ole ma pÀdev hindama aga sain siiski nii palju aru, et liigne rÔhk on pandud show'le. Seda kinnitasid ka teised ja lisasid, et selle all kannatas tantsuline...
