Pure Burger Rovaniemi — Restaurant in Rovaniemi sub-region

Well, as this place was recommended by a local and just down the road from our hotel, I thought I'd tick the Reindeer burger 🍔, off my list of Reindeer meat experiences. The place is cool, with pinballs and even a pacman machine out the back. The service was friendly and prices reasonable for Finland, and I was very happy to find they had a dark beer (Koff porter @ 7.2%) which was right up my alley. I ordered the reindeer burger with added cheese and a side of fries. Both the burger and fries were good, though for €4.5 I thought the fries didn't represent good value - €3 would've been more fair. But the fries were hot, crispy and had skins, all things good! The burger was fine, cooked medium, with just a touch of pink in 1 or 2 places, and the meat patty was thick and generous. It was a bit dry for me to say it was juicy or excellent, but a decent enough burger and I was satisfied. There's no real flavour in the meat to say "Reindeer" and I think (maybe Reindeer is very lean meat) perhaps some fat aged to the mix would make it more like a juicy beef burger. As a burger, I'd rate it 7+/10, as a Reindeer burger, 10/10😀. Go give this place a try if you enjoy a relaxed, youthful ambience, and I can highly recommend giving The Sopranos pinball...

Oh what a visit it was!!! I never thought I would eat such a burger in Lapland. DELICIOUS!!! We tried the reindeer burger - a great combination of flavour. We also took the burger with a vegetarian cutlet - also very nice. Delicious fries - crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. Nice idea with a cabinet with different hot sauces - something for fans of spicy food, you can add your own to the food. The place itself has a nice atmosphere - as if you were to meet old friends there and spend half the night talking. The service was very nice, they were happy to explain everything when we didn't know something. If you want to try the reindeer burger in Lapland, this is the perfect opportunity! Quite possibly the tastiest burgers I have had in a long time. I ordered just the cheese burger with chili fries and my wife got the Reindeer Burger with regular fries. These burgers were filled with flavour, being well seasoned and packed with all of the fixings you would expect (salad, tomato, onion, mustard, and ketchup). The fries were crispy on the outside (not overcooked!) and soft in the inside, just divine. The atmosphere of the place had a very casual and hip feel to it. By chance there was also a really nice music performance by the local school. What a fantastic evening to start our trip to Lapland!
