Wonderful Indonesian food, authentic flavors adapted to fit milder palettes at reasonable prices. You'll definitely get value for the experience and food. Dewi is incredibly friendly and the setting was comfortable. Really delicious food with great flavors. We had the salmon balado and it was great, slightly spicy (though sambal is available for more heat). The salmon is made per order and you can taste it with how tender and beautifully cooked it is. Apparently they are limited to a set amount of salmon for the week to ensure quality, so we were really lucky. The vegetable fritters are a MUST Have and the kecap manis paired really well. They were made fresh for us when the buffet was empty 🙏 The sticky rice was fragrant with pandan and dessicated coconut, sweet and rich. Don't be fooled by it's small portion, it's just enough. They have only a few dishes on the menu but they are all delicious! They make smaller changes to the menu from day to day.
Also highly recommend to take some fried vegetables to share as a starter with their Balado sauce. Food is typical and genuine Indonesian. Chicken, prawns or tofu with perfectly cooked vegetables, rice or noodles. They make it as spicy as you like to have it. I also think the prices are very good compared to other restaurants in the same area.
Service was very good and the owners are so friendly. We had some really nice discussions during our dinners and I even got the recipe for the Balado sauce.

Finding an authentic Indonesia restaurant near a university in Turku is the last thing I would expect, but the experience was exceptionally satisfying for a food snob like me. The food, service and atmosphere was all first grade. We were particularly touched by the warmth and passion of the owner, a Finnish-Indonesia couple, who took extra care of our seven year old son.
