Ô Savoyard — Restaurant in Annecy

Extremely rude staff, they yelled at us for sitting at a table of our choice and then made us wait although they had a lot of places and then literally told us to sit where they decide or leave right away. This is unacceptable, especially because apparently it was the owner herself doing this. Of course, it is the 1st of May and they had a queue of clients out there so they didn’t lose anything, but it is no way to handle customers . Miserable ! And the answer of the owner show not only that she does not speak English, because she funnily enough calls me miserable not knowing the words differ in French and English, but she shows her bad will and lousy attitude. When you get negative feedback, you consider changing something, you don’t attack the client back after chasing them away by offering bad service. There were lots of free tables and we respected the line and waited as they do in France, obviously, but as we noticed, the owners generally try to make the clients welcome, don’t call them bad names after giving them bad tables and chase them away when they don’t like the arrangement. I think this was the worst restaurant experience we ever had in France. I mean it. Stay away from that place. I wonder now how they treat the food itself , if the clients are...

Unfortunately, we had a very bad experience at this restaurant. We came in as a group, and although there were plenty of empty tables, we waited a long time just to be allowed to sit. After sitting down, the staff’s behavior—especially that of a woman who called herself the manager (a title far beyond her capability)—was very inappropriate and disappointing. They only brought us two menus, and when we politely asked for more, our request was strangely refused, with them saying it wasn’t possible to provide additional menus.

At first, our order was taken by a waiter who treated us properly and went to register it. But suddenly, that so-called manager appeared and, in a very strange and unacceptable manner, said that sharing food between two people was not allowed. She even shouted at the poor waiter who took our order with a very unpleasant tone.

I absolutely do not recommend this restaurant; not even passing by it is worth your time. The behavior and service were truly far below expectations. If it were possible, I would give them...

We went there specifically to try the escargots. We were seated at a table with six other people—a whole family—which would have been fine if the lady serving us hadn’t been so rude. It’s important to note that this place requires you to order at least two dishes. For instance, ordering a large plate of escargots for 25 euros and drinks isn’t considered sufficient for this place as it is not in 2 plates, hence not for two people. However, I didn’t see this rule written anywhere. The service was rude, the food was average, and the second dish we ordered had a very small portion yet was still expensive.

That said, the restaurant’s design is charming and reminds you of another era. Overall, the experience was disappointing. I wouldn’t recommend this place—there are much better options for the same price, where you’ll enjoy better food and hopefully encounter...
