Very disappointing eveningâŠ. Welcome and waitress was pleasantâŠ. The building is nice restaurant done out wellâŠ. Our cocktail to start was very good tooâŠ. Then it started to go wrong
We ordered the cote du beouf and I was really clear that it should be âroseâ and no blood âa pointââŠ. The steak turned up (good chips and poor side salad) and was clearly not rightâŠ. Anyway we worked are way through but left most of it as it was rawâŠ. The most astonishing point was that the waitress turned up and saw the steak was not as we ordered and said âitâs not as you ordered itâ and took the plate awayâŠ. Maybe this would be recognised with the bill?
We waited a long time for a coffee and then waited even longer for the bill so stood up to get to the receptionâŠ. There card machine was broken and I was then escorted to get cash out by a nearby cash machineâŠ.
Despite numerous embarrassingly bad issues they charged the full amount and did nothing to recognise the issues we hadâŠ. But, thatâs ok isnât it as we are just tourists? However we are tourists who were recommended by the host of our Airbnb- weâll be be very clear to advise her not to bother and tourists who have had a recommendation from my Swiss cousin who has a colleague who lives in AnnecyâŠ. Weâll be advising them to avoid tooâŠ
They struck me as an ambitious enterprise, so, Iâm sure theyâll do okâŠ. But please learnâŠ. Do the right thing and treat your clients fairly and with respectâŠ. 153 euros paid to feel annoyed (and they knew I was and still did nothing).
Also really bad R&B music at loud volumes really isnât a good...
Read moreGood place, really. Went there as we were passing by, with no booking. We didn't know what to expect, and were pleasantly surprised by the food. The menu is pretty simple but elegant and the plates are cleverly done and well mastered. The dessert (a lemon cheesecake) was the "cherry on the top" as it was fresh, subtle and not overwhelming. Really good job. You're sat on high chairs to allow you to see by the window. Even though I was a bit skeptical about that at first, I quickly forgot on what I was sat on. Most of the staff was pleasant. I'd recommend this place if you're looking for an easy-going bistronomic...
