Far from restaurant service levels, more like a fastfood with automatic ordering online system and slow service. Once you find a table you need to order online, the menu is also online if the wifi is working (it does intermitently), and once you order you leave the table to queue up to pay at cashier desk. Then you get back to the table and wait. In my case the order was lost and I only found out because i asked, after 30 mins (9 people eating 1 person watching...) when i asked finally after being tired of waiting where is my order? they sustain that the order had no table number and did not know who to bring it to. wich it had. Because to order you need to scan the Qr code sticked on the table, and use the internet and automatically alocates your order with the table number. Then they are saying they tried calling me, when i had no number registered in my order. Then the food is served cold and wrong type of pasta than the one ordered. Menawhile wifi dropped so i could not check my order anymore. Or prove i had the order with table number. I remembered well the number as it resambles a famous webpage error code :). Waste of time. It just looks like they don't care too much, just take your money and let you wait. Other people at the table started getting their orders in 5 different batches that came every few minutes. So imagine we were 10 and ate at different time points, some were starting while others allready finished, meanwhile i had no food in sight. Not the greatest overall experience. Read moreWe went to Vapiano la defense today a friend and I for a late lunch around 3PM. The staff was very unwelcoming throughout the whole time. The woman who prepared our order took very long to prepare it even though rush hour was over ( around 20 minutes to prepare two pasta dishes ) . I had asked her for Linguine pasta and instead she gave me fusilli pasta. Our dishes were very salty and the taste wasn't all that good. One of the employees was licking her fingers in front of us without washing her hands. Nevertheless we ate our dishes and told the manager about our experience. He seemed very defensive about us giving our opinion. He kept on finding excuses for his employees (saying that they are newbies learning the job) and telling us that we should've talked earlier about not liking our dishes. All in all the experience was very unsatisfying knowing that we paid our meal as much as we would've in a higher standards restaurant. Firstly it's slow, regardless of whether the place is busy or empty - sometimes there's just no one at the bar to take your order, or they take it then disappear for 10m to find a corkscrew or deal with another customer or whatever. Secondly, there are absolutely no apologies even when they've obviously made a mistake. I have twice been overcharged on the way out, and have had to waste time explaining that I haven't had certain items that have appeared on my card. Finally when the person on the till had checked with someone else and actually agreed I hadn't orderd half the stuff they were trying to charge me for, I was offered not one tiny "desolée" or "excusez-nous" for a) having been overcharged or b) having then wasted ages sorting it out.
