We experienced all 3 restaurants along the same street, but this one is far behind of the other two. We arrived around 8:15 in the evening without the reservation, but the waiter very kind offer the table. From that point just all the way went down hill... We sit there almost 20 minutes has no one served or ask. Then finally a lady pass the menu, without explain or ask what kind drink we like... It took another 10 minutes to have the waiter back to take order for drink. In between, we saw someone sent dish back, which I thought maybe the customer a bit fussy... Also keep seeing the waiter and waitress make big fuss with another table of guest looks like their friends or someone they know, but forgot the rest of the restaurant guests still waiting to be served... Then we finally got order and when our dish on our table it is already an hour later after we arrived. The lady who sit next to plus also just few minutes before us, she also seems very disappointing with her order; she also sent one of her order back. I thought it may just an unfortunate day for the chef, but until I dig in my food and realised this is not just a accident. My partner ordered meat of the day which is serloin, but the meat was not tenderize before cooking which cause very difficult to chew, the sauce was watery and blend. I ordered lobster brioche and a mash potato on side. The lobster filling was again watery even drippwhile I was eating, not much lobster in as well... The flavour also flat, I can do much better job than this at home. The cabbage on the side was hard like chewing, even not easy to use the fork to pick it up because they were too hard.... The potato mash was like running mud, no flavour again, no salt just awful to eat. We have been so many different type of restaurants, this definitely on the bottom one as the money that to pay and the quality and service we got just not worth anything. I am not sure what those positive reviews from, but definitely not...

THE BEST ratatouille I've ever eaten. It came with a delectable sea bass and sauce that included salicorne (glasswort / marsh samphire), which is inherently salty and new to me. My dinner companion had the lobster sandwich, which came with a delicious salad and was exquisite, far more elegant and amazing than the word "sandwich" can convey.

We had planned to eat just two things with drinks, and keep it cheap; but it was so good that we ordered the swordfish ceviche appetizer to share. Then two desserts as well!

He had peach soup with peach sorbet. His words: "Light but satisfying with intense flavor and decadence of the palate." I had roasted apricots with peach sorbet and rosemary. It also had a few blueberries and red currants.

Everything was fantastic. We joked that we wanted to stay and eat another whole dinner.

We spoke with two other Americans eating at the next table, who were equally delighted with their meals. They actually immediately made reservations to return the next evening! We would have done the same but had to leave Avignon the next day.

One thing we've noticed here is that the fruits and vegetables often have more flavor than what we get at home. The single whole cherry tomato on top of my fish had so much complex flavor it was amazing. Same for the blueberries in the desserts.

Overall we both highly recommend this restaurant! Would love...

We phoned to make a booking but there was no reply. But they phoned back - plus point for that. Starter was excellent but then 30 minute wait for the main course. The meat was fie but the potato puree ranged from luke warm to cold. The single banana shallot was just cold. Then another 30 minute wait for the desert. When that arrived, we asked for the bill. Waited another 15 minutes for that so went to the bar to pay - we were already late for anther appointment. The person at the till was entering a series of chits into the register while we waited, obviously wanting to pay. I can't say the waiting staff was idle, far from it. It looked like one person was trying to service every table on his own. But it was far from a relaxing experience. If you have all night, by all means go, but I'd suggest you order...

Rating is completely justified! 5/5 I’ve tried several places in Avignon and made mistakes, instead I should just go there! Located right in the heart of Avignon near Palais des Papes and at the same time is hidden from tourist traffic. Polite staff patiently explained every menu item and gave me great suggestions. Octopus with chimichuri was fresh and a little bit spicy, very good My trout with ratatouille was literally best I’ve tried. While the fish of the day was good too. And we thought we will skip the dessert until we saw that macaron ordered by the next table. The macaron dessert is miraculous! You should visit this place even just for amazing dessert! So sad they are closed on weekend.
