La Civette Bar Brasserie — Restaurant in Avignon

Me and my wife walk into the patio of this restaurant and sat down for 5 minutes. During these 5 minutes, there were no services at all. Finally, a waiter came by and told us there were no kitchen at that time of the day (4:00 pm – 6:00 pm); the restaurant only serve drinks during this time period.

Only serving drinks was perfectly fine with us. That waiter was so racist and rude, he didn't wait for us to place the drink orders and walk back into the interior of the restaurant. We are orientals and we felt we were being discriminated for not being Whites.

We sat there for another 5 minutes and walk out with a very bad experience of being ignored. We felt like we were treated as second class citizens.

After 20 minutes I had the meal, I throw up very badly. Very very sick. Maybe the seafood wasn’t fresh enough because that’s the only thing on my plate can possibly go wrong. The bread we got served tasted old and weird. My friend ordered a beef burger and said the meat tasted weird. He wasn’t sure if it’s meant to be like that or the patty wasn’t fresh. My husband ordered a veggie burger and he couldn’t finish it because it didn’t taste right. The fries were cold, the bun was old and the veggie patty wasn’t good. Lors de notre passage en ville, nous avons choisi de nous arrêter déjeuner à La Civette Bar Brasserie, et nous avons vraiment passé un bon moment. Nous étions quatre personnes, accompagnés de notre chien, qui a pu être accepté sans problème en terrasse, ce qui est toujours un vrai plus quand on voyage avec son animal. Dès notre arrivée, nous avons été bien accueillis et pris en charge rapidement. Le service du midi a été fluide, efficace et surtout très agréable grâce à un serveur professionnel et aimable. On sent que l’équipe est organisée et sait gérer le coup de feu du midi sans faire attendre les clients. Côté cuisine, rien à redire : les plats sont arrivés rapidement, bien présentés et surtout très généreux. Les portions sont copieuses et on en a pour son argent, d’autant plus que les prix restent tout à fait raisonnables par rapport à la quantité et à la qualité servie. C’est clairement une bonne adresse si vous cherchez à bien manger sans exploser le budget. Le seul petit point négatif concerne les toilettes. Celles-ci sont mixtes et, lors de notre passage, pas vraiment très propres. Ce n’est pas rédhibitoire, mais c’est dommage car cela contraste un peu avec l’image positive laissée par le repas et le service.
