Not only by sheer accident did we end up in Beaune but finding Le Carnot in itself was serendipitous. Le Villa Fleurie was our starting point and we took a leisurely stroll into town at 9pm. With a sliver of moon in the sky and a dusky feeling around, it was magical. When we made it to the town, there were a multiple of choices but somehow the amount of patrons at Le Carnot swayed us as well as the extensive menu. A waitress speaking English and French came and showed us to a lovely table just outside on the street. Within minutes we had water, fresh bread and a half carafe of wine. My partner ordered a meal which we were to share and it trickled out from the kitchen at a nice pace. First we had snails in garlic and butter sauce which was delightful to dip the bread in. Next was the veal scallopini with fettucine and oh la la the mushrooms and sauce were exquisite. Finally, the crème brulee arrived and it was a race between us to see who could eat all the lovely caramel topping. All of this washed down with a full bodied red wine that had our lips smacking for more. Wheelchair friendly for outside seating. Kid friendly. Didn’t check for wifi as I was too busy enjoying the company, the town and the food. Service was excellent. Meal price was 63 Euro and was worth every cent. Note that toilets were clean and the general décor is very appealing and welcoming. Nice touch was the music which was not too loud but still had me quietly singing along. In an area where there are a lot of places to eat, we would recommend Le...
Read moreWe have visited Brasserie Le Carnot on several occasions when staying overnight in Beaune on the way to holiday destinations or going back home. It is situated on a pretty street in picturesque Beaune. There are a number of outdoor tables, but also a stylish interior if you would like a more cosy setting. The first time we visited in summer 2022, although every restaurant in Beaune appeared to be packed, the staff quickly accommodated us and we enjoyed a fantastic meal, with great service and plenty of atmosphere. Since then, we have visited a few more times and have never been disappointed. (We have booked in advance to secure a good table). The food is delicious, beautifully served and is reasonably priced. The service has always been friendly and never slow. The place seems really popular and people obviously enjoy a good time while dining. On our most recent visit, one of my family highly recommended the chèvre et miel pizza and I can highly recommend the café gourmand as a dessert, which was most impressive with no less than 7 mini intricate dessert bites! Many thanks to all the team for our memorable visits to this wonderful brasserie in...

Been before and will go again. Thank you. Went back this week, it is so special to be remembered and warmly welcomed. Had different choices on the menu and unsurprisingly they were delicious.
