This is actually two places sharing the same kitchen. A restaurant that opens later in the evening and reservation only and a bistro that is more casual and opens an hour earlier. As far as the food goes this is probably the best food we had in Burgundy. It's better than a michelin 1 star we visited in Dijon. The boeuf bourguignon and the beef steak were really awesome. They also have a life saving option for families with picky eater kids - a burger with fries. But even that they managed to make with some great nuances that made it have all five tastes, like adding (I think?) roasted bell peppers (dont mention that to your kids). As far as the atmosphere goes - if you get to the actual restaurant, It's a wine cellar setting with a very nice ambiance. If you get to go to the bistro (as we did) it is not as nice... We even had a table propped with folded napkins to stop it from shaking 🤔. But then again, this was an impromptu dinner without a reservation with the food that was...

Watching the distressed and haphazard shenanigans, the restaurant is very clearly understaffed, which is never a great sign. When I dared followed up on the lack of service with the very rude waitress, she shouted at me and blamed our table for daring to place the menus on the floor in order to comfortably converse during our evening of austerity. The name of the restaurant is Conty, but with a person of her calibre at the helm, they’ve clearly got the...
Read moreMy first and fav meal in Beaune because of the ambience and the delicious food. Upon walking around the little alleys and streets, this place just stood out. It seemed to have the best little outdoor area in a sunny patch overlooking a church or museum that just made you want to dine there- next time I’d love to sit by the big open window, seemed like the best seat in the house. I had a nice beef bourguignon and couple types of vino and crème brûlée and epoissons for dessert, all which were great. Next time would like to try the razor clams. Only thing is that they don’t really acknowledge you when you’re standing around for a table for 10 min while they walk past you, but once you’re...
