Le Fleury — Restaurant in Beaune

I went to this restaurant as all others were full. No wonder why this one had plenty of free tables!

I ordered meat and asked it to be well cooked. The waiter started arguing despite me saying that I am pregnant and I don't want the meat to be raw. He told me his wife got two kids and never had a problem eating raw meat. Hey man I don't care all I want is to get a bit of understanding of what I want.

At the end the meat was raw. They had to cook it more. Fries were cold and overcooked. Oily.

Total waste of money, time. It spoiled my evening as I felt really stupid kindly asking before and still...

Casual French classic dining. Staff was nice but not super alert, had to ask for water and bill a few times (not a big problem), they didn’t want us to sit by the window for some reason as the table was untidy (then just clear it, non?). Otherwise friendly and ok speed of service. One dish was good (supreme de poulet) other was a bit bland (fish), pricey white wine for standard table wine. I went to this restaurant with my partner and friend on a recommendation and we were not disappointed. We sat at an outside table, and the owner was accommodating by shielding us from the sun with umbrellas. The food was exceptional and clearly prepared with care and experience. He helped us choose the perfect wine, and it paired perfectly with the beef bourguignon. The desserts were also wonderful.
