La Buissonnière — Restaurant in Beaune

Excellent on all accounts. The ambience is warm, the service is great and the food is truly exceptional, while the prices are reasonable.

I had bone marrow with caramelized onions and parmesan and toasted baguette on the side (10€), Noix de Saint Jacques scallops with shiitake mushrooms, spinach and butternut as main dish (24€) with an excellent Macon on the side (6€/glass). However, it was the dessert that stole the show. A fondant chocolat noir, crispy outside and perfectly liquid inside, with passion fruit, white chocolate mousse and biscuit crumbles on top (10€). The balance of tastes was extraordinary and I struggle to remember if I have ever had a better chocolat...

Nous avions attendu devant la porte pour être autorisés à entrer. Le serveur grincheux a fait très attention à l'heure d'ouverture à 19h. Nous nous assîmes sur le banc rouge inconfortable. Le siège était inégal. Ma femme a commandé du vin et j'ai commandé une bière, voir photo. Il versa le petit verre à vin au quart et m'apporta la bière que j'avais commandée. Regarde la photo. Le verre à bière n'était qu'à moitié plein. Lorsqu'on lui a demandé s'il ne pouvait pas le remplir, il a répondu que c'était de la bière belge et qu'il était toujours à moitié plein. Je me demandais s'il plaisantait et était vraiment sans voix. Parce que je l'ai regardé avec scepticisme, il nous a jetés dehors avec une expression offensée et des mots grossiers. Il aurait certainement été plus facile de remplir le verre.

Chers gourmets, mieux vaut ne pas y aller. Si vous regardez de travers ou dites quelque chose que le serveur / propriétaire n'aime pas, vous vous envolez. Probablement pas un cas isolé.

Auf dieses Lokal kann man ruhig verzichten

Wir hatten vor der Tür gewartet, dass wir rein durften. Der mürrisch Kellner achtete penibel auf die Öffnungszeit 19 Uhr. Wir nahmen auf der unbequemen roten Bank Platz. Der Sitz war uneben. Meine Frau bestellte Wein und ich ein Bier, siehe Foto. Das kleine Weinglas schenkte er Viertel voll und brachte mir das bestellte Bier. Siehe Foto. Das Bierglas war nur halb voll. Darauf angesprochen, ob er es nicht voller machen kann, sagte er, das sei belgisches Bier und die wären immer halb voll. Ich überlegte ob er einen Witz machte und war echt sprachlos. Weil ich ihn skeptisch anschaute, warf er uns mit beleidigte Miene und üblen Worten hinaus. Es wäre sicherlich einfacher gewesen das Glas zu aufzufüllen.

Liebe Gourmets, geht besser nicht hin. Schaut ihr schief oder sagt etwas was dem Kellner/Besitzer nicht gefällt fliegt ihr. Wohl kein Einzelfall.

What a great restaurant! The atmosphere is great, the food is absolutly amazing and that is finished with excellent service.

Food: We had tapas on a saturday. The buratta was incredible, the croquettes tasted great and the chicken nuggets just melted on my tongue. All the food is homemade with love and passion.

Service: The very friendly owner served us with an incredible smile. We asked for advice and he was taking all the time we needed to choose the best food and wine.

Price: The price was very good, we paid only €70,- for 2 persons and left with a full stomach!!
