CREPERIE DES BEAUX ARTS — Restaurant in Dijon

We had a really lovely experience here. We found a table and sat in the evening sun, watching the light change and many happy tourists and locals enjoying this beautiful city. The atmosphere was busy, and friendly. Our family tried four different galettes, La Dijonnaise, L'Italienne, La Savouyarde and La Maree (savoury crepes) and enjoyed all of them. They all had generous fillings and good flavours. We then had the sweet crepes (we chose chocolate/nutella, coconut, banana) which were also generously filled, and fresh and delicious. I admired how hard the man was working to keep up with demand as it was so busy, but he gave us realistic waiting times and we didn't mind waiting in such a nice part of town on a warm evening, and the food was worth the wait. Just one word, their crepes are amazing and absolutely worth its price.

The day we went the line was not to long and after 5 min waiting we were helped by a smiling lady and men. 3 Crepes with all different ingredients, but all off them were very tasty.

You can eat them inside or at the small terrace just in front of the door. But if both of them has no space just opposite you will find a big public seat were you can enjoy them.

The prices are so good that you have a full dinner for two at only 30 euro. The crepes are so well covered with ingredients, so with 4 of them you have a good meal.

I simply cannot recommend this restaurant. The hygiene really isn't up to par. While preparing our pancake the staff member was coughing in his gloves. And I noticed that the plates where the pancakes got served on just got cleaned by rinsing the plates under the faucet. They weren't cleaned with soup and hot water as should be the case. Furthermore I noticed the plates were wiped off with the same towel the employees used for their hands.

Although I was quite mortified by the lack of simple hygienic standards, the pancake in itself was fine and it was nice sitting on...
