Green Bagel Café Cannes — Restaurant in Grasse

Unfortunately, I can only give 1 star. I would have loved to try their bagels, but we waited 55 minutes after ordering and were not served one. It was 10am and the Cafè was not full at that time. We ordered 2 coffees, a cookie, a muffin and two bagels. The coffee was served after 35 minutes and we asked about the bagels several times. The answer was always that they will be served in one minute while other guests arrived after us and were served food before we even got out coffees. Just before one hour was over I insisted on paying just the coffees before leaving. The owner's(?) reaction was rude and she initially wanted me to pay for the full order. After some discussion we paid just the coffees and left. The other guest's bagels looked pretty good. However, based on our experience we cannot recommend this Cafè. There simply is not service and it was a rather unpleasant experience. Other places just a couple of meters down the road served us proper bagels...

I went to bagel cafe two days ago for their really good coffee. My experience was not the best because of the service I received from a woman who presented herself to be the manager and mention her name was Mary. The lady came to my table and literally said - I’m sorry but the little child cannot keep on eating her tart because it’s not made in the store!- I don’t know if she even realized she’s just talking about a little girl eating her sweet treat. In anyway my daughter had already eaten her tart and almost done with it so I respectfully said she’s just gonna finish it and what I got for a response is -ok then do not come back here! I thought the lady was rude and not kind and I don’t know if the owners are aware of that or agree with this sorts of manners so I would like to share my experience hoping bagel cafe be a place where kindness and respect is primordial after all that’s the American culture and it’s...

Speaking as a non-French speaking American who ended up living in Cannes during the pandemic, this place is great!! Great bagels with cream cheese (& I couldn’t find bagels at the grocery store, so this is important if you’re craving a bagel!), decent pancakes with syrup (once I was traveling with my mom & she was depressed for a whole day because she couldn’t find pancakes with syrup, maple or regular), & decently-sized & priced iced coffee! People don’t travel to France to get American stuff, but if you’re craving it you can get it & that’s great & I, for one, appreciate it & don’t feel guilty about it! Eat...
