Salsamenteria di Parma — Restaurant in Grasse

At 6.30 the restaurant was empty apart from the chef ( ? ) on his laptop and a girl - a friend - also on her laptop , in the corner. Reggie music in the background with the chef ( ? ) singing along ! It was an ITALIAN restaurant so we expected something more appropriate. When we were brought a menu we were told the Ragu sauce and chicken were not available !!! , an Italian restaurant without Ragu sauce !!!! OR chicken. Unbelievable. We settled for a basic , pre-prepared lasagne and sausage with runny tasteless mashed potatoes. During the meal a number of friends came in taking the ( chefs ) attention before going out and congregating by the front door . Obviously the ( chef ) didn't realise that it was probably putting off potential customers. By the time we left there were just 8 in the restaurant , the ( chef ) was still singing along with the inappropriate music while all the restaurants immediately around his were full. All in all a very disappointing evening and we will not be going back. We have previously visited this restaurant many times over the last 8 years and it has always been run with good food and atmosphere. I noticed that the restaurant is part of a franchised chain, maybe they are new staff , and not doing a very good job of it. Despite the negative comments we thought the ( chef ) was pleasant...

Stepping into Sarsenteria in the heart of Cannes feels like stepping right into Italy itself. As an Italian, I know my food well—and I can honestly say that the products, the flavors, and the atmosphere here are absolutely authentic.

From the very first day I visited, the welcome has been nothing short of extraordinary. Dorina, the wonderful store manager, Roberta, Vasco, Dario, and the whole team have made me feel less like a customer and more like a friend. Living just five minutes away, it has become a place that feels like home.

But above all, it’s the quality of the cuisine that truly sets Sarsenteria apart. There is simply no comparison anywhere else in Cannes. The freshness of the ingredients, the attention to detail, the passion in every dish. And when you add in the unbeatable value for money, it’s clear: this is not only my favorite spot, but in my opinion, the best restaurant in all of Cannes!!!!!!!!

If they care about their customers having a good experience at their restaurant, they would reconsider their policy regarding seating. Came in at 2:30PM after the lunch rush, and was told the tables outside were "reserved" and instead I was placed in a cramped corner next to a group of 8 people. When I asked to move somewhere else in the empty restaurant they said it's not possible because I am a party of one. The outside tables didn't get anyone until I left, and indoor tables did not fill up either. Outside area had plenty of people sitting by themselves, and it's a bit nonsensical why I couldn't sit outside nor move elsewhere indoors when there's ample space, after lunchtime.

Staff are nice, but upon discussion with the manager, I realize the manager is sticking to a strange seating policy that I'm hoping she realizes is an inconsiderate policy. Hopefully they will start thinking about the customer...
