L'Antre Deux Verres — Restaurant in Libourne

Horrible service. Initially started off well with seating and provided menus. Took our order. Food was fine. No sign of waiter for the rest of the meal, even though the table next to us was visited by various staff to ensure everything was fine at least half a dozen times while we were there (we were literally next to this table). The restaurant had 3 tables occupied, so they were not too busy and could have easily checked to see if we needed anything. 30 mins after our meal, a staff member seemed surprised that we were there and came to take our plates. Did not ask us how the meal was, if we wanted dessert, coffee etc. Based on the large number of other restaurants in this small town, I would not recommend this one at all. You will get a better meal and service...

We had only one night in St Emillion and asked our hosts where we should eat - they recommended L’Antre and I’m glad they did. On a terrace above the main town we experienced great service and truly delicious regional food. The menu was comfortingly small but varied and with daily specials. The food was really excellent, service attentive and the atmosphere calm and relaxed....

Superb food and a great selection of wines can be found at this surprisingly private and quaint restaurant, in the heart of incredible St Emilion. The outside dining area offers a commanding view of the town, and an opportunity to people watch the tourists. The only bizarre point to make is that they insisted on not changing our cutlery for the second course....
