There's a reason they are so busy they have to get people to wait to make orders: because of quality.
I had a chilli chicken sandwich and man that was gooooo-ooood! It has Akbar in it, of which my Croatian is biased.
Ok I know some won't agree but good pastry places normally suck at making coffee. And vice versa; coffee places tend to suck at pastries, which is why they bring in cookies from somewhere else.
However, coffee was great and all I had to choose from was the chocolate chip and choco-hazelnut cookies, because most everything was wiped out lol. I ordered one of both and they were excellent sugar cookie style cookies.
Perfect crumble and sugar level. Perfect chocolate/nut to cookie dough ratio. It was even super easy to break pieces off but by bit to eat with my coffee.
Service staff are super quick and friendly. Why did I only find this place on my second last day in Lyon.
Would definitely come back. Would highly recommend. Be patient because they are busy so if you don't get to order, then come earlier next time... That's your fault for not pulling your butt out of...
Read moreI love the concept of this cafe and I want it to succeed but ultimately I didn't get what I paid for. I ordered the menu joyeaux and so I specified which main and dessert I wanted when I paid, then sat down. The coffee and the main came out in good time, but then a staff member approached me and told me they'd run out of the dessert I had already ordered and paid for. There had been 2 or 3 slices left when I ordered, meaning none had been put by for my meal and had instead been sold to people who hadn't ordered a set menu and so were given them straight away. I was offered a different dessert instead, and I didn't want anything else on offer but I'd already paid so I didn't have much choice. I understand mistakes like these can happen but in a place where customers pay upfront before receiving food and service these errors leave them without much option. I don't blame any of the staff working here but given some of the other reviews I've read I think it needs better systems in place that prevent...
Read moreI was in this café on Saturday morning and the visit made a lasting impression on me. I entered the café shortly after it opened and the two employees gave me a very friendly welcome. One of the employees had a handicap, but she prepared my cappuccino very thoroughly. What impressed me most was the friendliness and the sentence she said to me when she handed me my cappuccino: “I wish you a happy coffee day”. Simply great! Especially in these times, we should focus much more on humanity and give people with disabilities many more opportunities. Ps: The cappuccino was also very...
