Divino — Restaurant in Marseille

Late night savior! Wife and I literally walked all over downtown trying to find some good charcuterie or pizza. Somehow we managed to stumble accross this little gem. Divino... also in spanish mean DEVINE... catch my drift. We stopped in got one round of fresh rose and platter of charcuterie. Finger licking goodness and freshness and the bread was such a perfect compliment. We ended up getting another round. Ate so good and were happy as heck. I believe the owner was also there who was so attentive. Happened to know my dad (dad lives in Cassis) and made us feel extra special. We cant wait to get back and visit. Def making another round...

Il titolare, già dal tardo pomeriggio, sembrava ubriaco. La moglie, più sorridente e cordiale, invece, tentava invano di arginare il marito. Con una temperatura di 35 gradi ci ha servito due calici di vino bianco a temperatura ambiente e di pessima qualità senza chiederci che cosa preferivamo e senza dirci il vigneto (chardonnay, sauvignon, ecc) al prezzo di 6 euro a calice. Stesso trattamento ha riservato agli altri turisti americani, mentre per i locali aveva indubbiamente un occhio di riguardo. Piatto di salumi e formaggi di qualità scadente e poco assortito per il prezzo pagato. Persone così, oltre a curare i propri interessi, dovrebbero capire che con il loro prodotto e il loro modo di essere rappresentano una regione (costa azzurra) e una nazione (Francia). Il gestore ha invece lasciato un pessimo ricordo. 35 euro per due calici di bianco, una piattino di affettati e formaggi e pezzettino di camembert grigliato. Un furto con destrezza.... E.... Se i vini bianchi francesi che dovrebbero fare concorrenza agli italiani sono quelli che lui ci ha proposto, noi italiani possiamo dormire sonni tranquilli....
