Le Petit Boucot — Restaurant in Nantes

A truly fantastic experience. My meal began with a red wine recommendation based on my expressed preferences. It was perfect. Next came a fabulous and delicate pumpkin soup, followed by perfectly cooked lamb two ways. So tender, practically falling off the bone. I finished up with a delicious cinnamon pear, paired with cottage cheese sorbet and ginger foam. Beyond any of that, the server was so kind and attentive. He worked with my limited French out of respect before eventually switching to English— a kind gesture. He answered my questions thoughtfully, made excellent recommendations throughout the meal, and conversed with me a bit about Nantes and what to do during my brief stay. One note for travelers...this restaurant does not accept...

Si j'étais plutôt réservée lors de la résa (refroidie par certains avis), mes parents et moi avons adoré notre soirée dans ce restaurant, réservé pour les 70 ans de ma maman... c'est une petite pépite, en retrait des rues ultra animées de Nantes qui mérite amplement de s'y arrêter.

L'accueil est au top ! Un serveur souriant et répondant à mes multiples interrogations avec bienveillance. C'est à souligner tant c'est rare à trouver.

La cuisine est de même divine 😍 ! Très honnêtement, jai l'habitude des restaurants gastronomiques et, celui-ci de part son rapport qualité/quantité/prix en vaut bien certains. Un poulpe fondant et croustillant accompagne d'une déclinaison de fenouil qui a même eu l'aval de mon père qui déteste ça. Qui plus est, ne mangeant pas de viande, pas de soucis pour me préparer une assiette sans chorizo. Spéciale Ola pour le crémeux d'ail... INCROYABLE 😍 ! La cuisson du maigre est également parfaitement maîtrisée et le risotto au curry justement épicé pour convenir à des palais peu habitués. L'entrée de lieu fumé petits pois/asperges est aussi à saluer : Je la tenterai chez moi d'ailleurs. Pour finir, le dessert de choux chocolat au lait, glace praliné et orange fait l'unanimité : à la fois gourmand et délicat.

En bref un beau moment dans ce petit lieu aussi intimiste que...

I've reviewed a few great restaurants this week in Nantes and each time I've said 'one of my best meals ever '. I wish I had waited until I'd eaten here today. This restaurant is superb and is the best of Nantes. Fantastic service, amazing food, lovely atmosphere and great value. Please book a table and go here if in Nantes. They clearly love what they do and it shows in the quality of service and food. Truly...
