L'Endroit — Restaurant in Nice

Stopped here along the waterfront in Menton for a bite and a drink. Prices in all these heavily touristed areas tend to be somewhat inflated but thankfully this restaurant made up for it with decent portion sizes and yummy food. The fries were particularly tasty, and they were generous with them! There was some confusion in that I thought I was getting a chicken burger rather than a beef burger, but it was no trouble as the burger was great. The only downside was that the outside seating area was mixed smoking and non smoking, with two full tables of four smokers on either side of us--but this was more bad luck on our part than any fault of the restaurant. Tried to get lunch there, only got a beer and the waiter and waitress purposely avoided our table (likely because we don’t speak French). Everyone else around us was being served. Tried to ask for a food menu and the waitress said no, the waiter then said in one minute and never came back. Waited 20 minutes to try to even ask for the check and ended up just having to hand the guy cash as we left. If you don’t speak French, go somewhere else...
