Rooftop Le Méridien — Restaurant in Nice

Made a reservation here for an anniversary dinner, on the recommendation of a chocolatier in Paris who owns a place here in Nice. And the rooftop restaurant at Le Meridien did not disappoint. Table overlooking the coastal view at sunset, and we had the table for the evening. Served with delicious olive breadsticks, we savored our drinks and then both had seafood- a good bet for Nice, and my Asian salmon was one of the best preparations I have had. Champaign and macarons for the end, complementary. (The best macarons we have tasted in France! Or ever!) Mon ami et moi sommes allés dîner ici le 30 juillet 2021. La vue est magnifique, le personnel est sympa mais la nourriture est vraiment de mauvaise qualité. Le foie gras n'était pas assez froid et avait le goût d'être glacé, le ceviche était le même. Le vrai problème était que quelques heures plus tard, mon ami et moi-même sommes tombés très malades. Nous avions tous les symptômes d'une intoxication alimentaire et n'avions rien mangé d'autre ce jour-là. Je pense qu'ils doivent laisser de côté la nourriture (même 10 minutes à 30 degrés de chaleur pourraient vous rendre très malade). Pendant deux jours, nous étions tous les deux très malades. J'ai informé le restaurant mais ils m'ont juste dit que personne d'autre n'avait de problème, donc il n'y a aucun moyen de savoir si c'était leur nourriture. C'était définitivement leur nourriture. My friend and I went here for dinner on July 30th (2021). The view is beautiful, the staff are nice but the food is really bad quality. The foie gras wasn't cold enough and tasted like it was frozen, the ceviche was the same. The real issue was that a few hours later both my friend and myself got very sick. We had made reservations for 7PM in person the previous evening as we were staying at the hotel. When we arrived we were told the reservation had been canceled. That was a surprise to us. After a few minutes, we were given a table that had a reservation for 9 PM, which worked for us as we were finished eating by 8PM. The menu is limited. I ordered a €35 double cheeseburger.
