Shazi — Restaurant in Nice

I have never experienced such poor service in any restaurant before. We had to wait 30 minutes just to be noticed and attended to, and even then, nobody offered us anything while we waited. After finally ordering, it took another 1.5 hours before our food arrived – and it wasn’t even served to us as a group, but one by one at different times. In between, there was nothing offered to make the long wait more bearable.

To make matters worse, the drinks were served incorrectly, some dishes were completely forgotten, and overall the service was extremely unprofessional. The food itself was disappointing as well – it certainly wasn’t worth the wait. In particular, the Mahicheh was not good at all and I would not recommend it to anyone.

We had a wonderful experience at Shazi! The atmosphere is elegant yet welcoming, with beautiful décor and a calm ambiance that makes it perfect for enjoying a meal with family. The food was absolutely delicious — we tried the koobideh kebabs with saffron rice and grilled tomato, as well as the chicken with barberries. Everything was perfectly cooked, full of flavor, and beautifully presented. The portions were generous, and the freshness of the herbs, radishes, and garnishes added a nice authentic touch. I’ve travelled across countless countries from China to the U.S. and tried Persian food everywhere I could. As a Persian myself, I can confidently say this spot delivers! The food tastes just as amazing as it looks in the photos. I wish I had taken some pictures, but honestly, it was so delicious I didn’t get the chance!

The khoresh gheimeh was incredibly fresh and tasted homemade. The kebab and chicken were perfectly seasoned and cooked the meat was tender, juicy, and full of flavour. It truly felt like a taste of home.
