We recently dined here and unfortunately had a very disappointing experience due to a lack of transparency around pricing and ordering.

When we sat down, we ordered two appetizers and then told the waitress we would like to share the lobster linguine and the fish of the day. At no point were we told that these entrées were priced per 100g. Instead, the waitress told us that would be too much food for two people, and suggested that we share just the lobster linguine.

She then brought out a lobster to show us, and explained that we would only be eating the tail. She even gestured with her hand to show the cut we would be getting, and asked if we’d like two lobsters instead. Trusting her recommendation, we agreed, assuming we’d each receive a tail portion as described. Instead, we were served two full lobsters. We only learned later, upon receiving the bill, that each lobster was priced by weight, resulting in a charge of nearly €500 for the dishes.

When I raised these issues with the manager, he was dismissive and said that Americans dine there all the time and understand the “per weight” method. While I suggested it would be helpful to clearly explain the pricing and confirm the approximate cost upfront with a customer before ordering, this feedback was brushed aside.

On top of that, our appetizer was entered incorrectly and delivered to our table. The waitress corrected the appetizer and told us she would remove it from the bill, but it remained, and the manager insisted that although it was our mistake in ordering, he would still remove it.

The food itself was well-prepared, but the lack of transparency and the dismissive handling of our concerns made the experience extremely frustrating. For a restaurant at this price point, we expected clearer communication and more professional service. I hope management will reconsider their approach so future guests can avoid...

There is no second chance for a first impression — and unfortunately, Taulissa missed the mark.

One star for the rooftop view and the kind staff who genuinely tried. Sadly, the food and atmosphere didn’t live up to any standard — especially in France.

When asked for a recommendation, the waiter said “everything” — which means nothing. Our dinner was a series of letdowns: tuna (0/10), fish with spinach (2/10, unbearably salty), tomato tart (4/10), octopus (5/10), and langoustines (7/10). Nothing tasted right, nothing felt worth the price (168 euro bill).

To make experince worse, the music was simply dreadful. A chaotic mix of soft house, Édith Piaf, and random Italian hits played far too loudly. Inside and on the terrace, entirely different tracks were playing simultaneously, creating a total sensory disconnect. I don’t know who thought this was a good idea — it completely killed any chance of ambiance.

If you only care about Instagram views and want to pretend you’re enjoying yourself — this is your spot. If you came to eat food and feel things… go literally...

We had an unforgettable dinner at Taulissa. The rooftop setting overlooking the ocean is absolutely stunning — the perfect ambience for a romantic or special evening. The service was top-notch from start to finish, warm and attentive without being overbearing.

We started with the artichoke and tuna appetizers — both were excellent, but the artichoke especially stood out. If you’re even a casual fan of artichokes, don’t skip it.

We followed another reviewer’s suggestion and ordered the chicken for two, and wow — it did not disappoint. Perfectly cooked and flavorful, and the sauce it comes with is next-level delicious.

The restaurant had gluten free bread that was really good!

The champagne was another highlight — a special bottle made exclusively for the restaurant, and it really added to the experience.

Highly recommend dining here if you’re in the area...

We had a lovely late lunch at Taulissa right after a long walking tour of the city and after checking into the hotel Maison Albar. The menu had just changed a couple of days before, so the menu on the website we had looked at before was not the right one. That was no problem as we found great options to choose anyway. We went for the tuna (Mango & Passion fruit - Crispy rice chips - Seaweed puff pastry) and the Niçoise salad (Seasonal vegetables - Marinated tuna - Nicoise essence). Both were really tasty and though they were starters, they were enough for a light lunch for two who don’t want to fill up too much. Service was quick and friendly, in perfect English to make up for our absolute lack of French. The atmosphere on the rooftop is fantastic - not loud, not crowded and very trendy. The views are phenomenal.
