Quaint sweet little Italian Bistrot. I want to give this more of a rating because we had a wonderful time here (My husband's mom was with us). However, I felt the food in total lacked that special little flavor that makes you crave it. From a production of the food standpoint the dishes were on point 100% - yet, there was something missing.
'Plat' Brushetta: 3.5 Eh….It was just ok. I think there was too much cheese melted on it and the balance just wasn't there. Bread Sticks: 4 They were yummy….just not quite as yummy as the ones we've had at other Italian restaurants in Paris.
'Entrée' Veal Milanese: 4 Pounded extremely thin. I didn't give the full 5 and I can't describe why. It was lacking something. Like the production of the dish was 100% on point…but, a crave worthy flavor was missing. It came with pasta and wasn't bad…wasn't as good as others we've had though -- I think it was missing the homemade edge. Truffle Pasta: 3.5 After my venture into Italian dishes and pasta here, I boldly ordered a pasta dish. (I think I can count the number of times I've ordered pasta out on one hand). The dish was good - again 100% on point with production - but, missing that swoon worthy flavor I was expecting especially with the truffle (for truffle lovers). The pasta was ok -- not on the same level as the pasta I've had elsewhere in Paris or the pasta we've tried from Market Bastille. It just wasn't nearly as tender - more commercial tasting I guess?
'Dessert' No Dessert this night
Would I go back: Hmmmm….No probably not Why: There's better Italian to explore - some other places has set the bar...
Read moreMy family and I were wandering through Paris, planning to visit a park I’d come across online. As we made our way, we happened to pass by this little place, barely giving it a second glance since my parents weren’t keen on staying long. The park was beautiful, no doubt, but what followed turned out to be even better.
Hours passed before we realized our hunger and began the search for something more. And there it was, this hidden gem, waiting for us like a gift from the city. My expectations were low, but with one bite of their pasta, I was transported straight to heaven, angels dancing to the melodies I tasted on my tongue. Every dish, from my parents’ plates to mine, felt like an otherworldly experience, each bite drawing me out of myself, leaving me in awe.
Now, when I think of Paris, it’s not the monuments or the parks, but this Italian restaurant that fills my mind. I would walk miles barefoot, across continents, just for another taste of that magic. Even now, my mouth waters at the memory. A treasure beyond measure—thank you for creating...
Read moreThe waiter was not friendly at all. We asked him a few questions and our questions looked stupid to him:
1/ Is the pasta made with fresh tomatoes or concentrated tomatoes ? The answer was: of course concentrated tomatoes. It is the only way ! 2/ Do you have light sparkling water ? We have sparkling water only.
Then we asked him for olive oil and Vinaigre Balsamic and his answer was: 1/ I only have two hands !! By the way the restaurant was empty.
Finally our other disappointment was with the seafood pasta that we found very bad.
His answered : 1/ you are the only customer who complained. Please read the comments on the fork.
Our opinion is that this restaurant is making up opinions on the fork. So be careful before you go.
The only food that was good was the Tuna pizza. For which we had to wait 45...
