Kébi — Restaurant in Paris

A hot Indian Summer day in Paris. Too hot to eat, but it is never really too hot to eat, you just have to choose more carefully. I decided Lebanese was probably the best option for the weather but have been disappointed with most Lebanese food I have tried in Paris (although I am usually short on time and tend not to spend time on research).

I stumbled across Kebi and was intrigued by what was obviously a personal and slightly idiosyncratic take on what I know as Kibbeh. I opted for the formule and had a lovely tabbouleh and for the plat a selection of 3 fish kebi in a soupe de crustace.

All of it delicious, better than I had expected and more than enough on such a hot day. Good value and a nice concept as well as taste so thoroughly recommended. The absolute best restaurant to visit while in Paris. The servers and cooks are the nicest people on earth and talk with you humanly - you feel welcomed and cared for, which from my experience, isn't really a thing in Paris, especially when you're a short term tourist not speaking French. The food is absolutely immaculate, the taste, the serving, plating and everything other you can say about it - and it's really cheap too! Worth every penny you spend there. Kebi or Fried kibbeh is a traditional Lebanese food made by pounding bulgur a cracked wheat together with meat into a fine paste and forming it into ovoid shapes, with toasted pine nuts and spices served fried and taste really good It took a lot of courage to open a restaurant specializing mostly in serving Kebi which is a popular dish in Lebanon and I am a big fan. hopefully it will continue to be a great success in Paris and it can expand all over the world The food here is good and the service is friendly the restaurant is nicely decorated We will comeback to this restaurant in our next...
