I discovered Angélique Paris while walking near Madeleine, and it turned out to be such a hidden gem! ✨
The atmosphere is beautiful – a charming mix of Belle Époque elegance with wood décor, mirrors, and chandeliers that make you feel like you’ve stepped back in time. It’s cozy yet refined, and perfect for a quiet afternoon tea after shopping.
The cakes are outstanding 🍰. We tried the strawberry cream cake (so popular it sells out before early afternoon), the lychee fresh cream cake (light, fragrant, and my personal favorite), and the mango mousse (sweet but not heavy). They also have excellent classics like chocolate cake and Basque cheesecake for those who prefer traditional French flavors.
The drinks were just as impressive: we loved the matcha & berry latte and the mango–passionfruit tea latte, both refreshing and perfectly paired with the desserts. They even make their own matcha spread and fruit jams, which is a lovely touch.
Service was warm and attentive – the staff were kind, patient, and happy to recommend flavors. 💕
📍 Location is perfect: right between Madeleine and Printemps, yet on a calm street away from the crowds.

The matcha aduzi cake was fluffy and light, not too sweet or heavy with matcha flavor, but very good! The Paris brest was good, was missing a bit of the crunch that makes it so iconic, but good chou.
My boyfriend had the Chocolate Sablé cookie and it was god awful, crumbled like sand and tasted like it too, so I don’t recommend it.
I found it all a bit expensive but it makes sense...
Read moreTerrible experience, I went to the store and asked if they sold matcha in powder to go. They told me yes and made me wait for a long time for a tea bag. I came back home and it results that it was not real matcha but a mix of very bad tea. What a total scam and lack of honesty, instead of saying g they didn’t sell matcha or they tan out of it, they decided to attempt to deceive me and sell me a bag full of everything except matcha. I’d recommend people not to visit this place, they have proven to be totally unreliable, unreliable and...
