I was so excited to try this place based on the reviews, but unfortunately we were so disappointed in the food. The staff were lovely, and the pizza we took home to our travel companions was very good (especially the crust).

However, the steak was terrible - there was absolutely no seasoning, and it was so tough we could barely cut through it. It was medium rare as requested, but we left a lot of it on the plate due to toughness and no flavor. The bernaise sauce had zero taste - we aren’t even sure how that is possible, and it was a thick paste consistency. It should have melted a bit into a sauce, but the steak wasn’t hot enough to warm the paste enough to melt. The arugula on the plate was wilted, and the fries were not good - some too overdone and some just totally limp.

The catch of the day (a white fish), was supposed to be boneless, and while half of it WAS boneless, the other half had a lot of bones. The vegetables were completely overcooked and limp/soft and not seasoned at all.

The Caesar salad was an odd take on the dish, using a salad dressing similar in taste to a Thousand Island dressing, but we still enjoyed the salad.

We ordered the pizza and an extra Caesar salad to go for our travel companions that stayed home, but the staff didn’t let us know when the to go order was ready, so we sat there for an extra 30 minutes, thinking they were still making the food (because it took 30 or 40 minutes to get our salad when we ordered it at the beginning of our meal). This wasn’t that big of a deal and I didn’t take that into account in my star rating - just mentioning it in case you eat there and also get a...

Went there with a couple of friends and I was not expecting this such a pleasant surprise. I got recommended the pizza’s which looked absolutely delicious or “Gambas Pop’s”, but really felt like taking an “Entrecôte de Boeuf de Saler” that night.

It was in all sincerity perfect and I do not say this lightly.

Being a meat lover, I have done my fair share of steak houses but did not expect the perfect steak to be here. It was cooked to perfection, just like I ordered it, rare yet still very hot, but you can tell that the chef had allowed it to sit just the right time so that the meat had time to “relax” and become really tender, to the point it melted right on the tip of the tongue. To add to this, the meat stayed hot till the last bite, which is often an issue, even at the best of steak houses!

The sides where just great : a mix of french fries and sweet potatoes and a salad, with a great light seasoning, perfect to put the meat in the spotlight.

The glass of wine recommended by the owner of the restaurant perfectly matched the meat!

As a desert, I decided to go with their Tiramisu and I understand why it’s one of their most popular deserts. It’s light, perfectly balanced between the cream and crumble. A perfect way to end the dinner!

6/5 ! My new crush in Paris. Can’t wait to go back there again...

We visited on evening of 19th August 2022 having been let down by another restaurant. My daughter, Poppy, had pointed this place out on the map, having been drawn in by the name, unsurprisingly. We arrived around 1930hrs and there was only one other table of customers eating, so we took a table out on the street and were quickly made welcome by our waiter Yann, including a comprehensive explanation of everything on the menu. Food was served quickly, with my wife choosing the entrecote steak and I went for veal, both of which were delicious, tender and well presented. The accompanying wine was chilled to perfection and complemented our meal perfectly. Dessert was equally impressive with my wife having the cafe gourmand and I had the tiramisu. All in all, a perfect finish to our Paris trip, our best meal ever in Paris and, with Yann, probably the ultimate in great service. Thanks Pops!! We hope to...

Had an absolutely amazing experience here tonight. We ordered the entrecôte, with a bottle of red wine with tiramisu and chocolate mousse for dessert. The entrecôte was perfect made with an amaaazing bernaise sauce, with 10/10 crispy fries. The desserts were also super good, I really can recommend them both! But the best thing about this experience was the amazing service we got here. Everyone working there cared about our well being and made sure everyone was okay. We got a read through of the menue, recommendations, taste of the wine and just big smiles from everyone. Very genuine people. Strongly recommend you to take a visit here! The pizza also looked amazing from here. Thank you for amazing service, and delicious food and wine, we will be back! -Couple from Norway

My wife and I were intent on avoiding a "tourist trap" and so turned our backs to the Eiffel Tower, crossed the Seine, and kept walking. We worried we'd find few options as we were strolling through a residential area and it was getting late. We googled for "restaurants nearby" and were close enough -- and lucky enough -- to see Pop's as a suggestion. A glowing review enticed us and we are so thankful it did. Our food was fantastic! It's the kind of food that makes you close your eyes and look up in amazement after every bite. Everything about this place receives top marks from us (meal, dessert, wine, atmosphere, service, hospitality, etc.). We were greeted warmly and treated kindly. The restrooms were very clean, which is a rare experience in a big city. ~fin~
