We visited the restaurant for lunch as a party of two. We were quite hungry and decided to start with a shared Caesar salad and a half-liter bottle of the house white wine.
The Caesar salad was surprisingly generous for a starter, and it was excellently prepared. The chicken, which was part of the salad, was cooked to perfection, featuring a crispy coating that was both flavorful and delicately spiced with hints of herbs and cornmeal. The salad itself was fresh and well-balanced, making it an ideal start to our meal. The white wine complemented the salad wonderfully – it was refreshingly chilled and had a pleasant fruity aroma and taste.
For the main course, we ordered two 300-gram ribeye steaks, each served with fries. The steaks were cooked as requested, tender and juicy, while the fries were crisp and satisfying. We also tried the veal stew, which was served alongside a portion of rice. The stew was exceptionally tender, with a creamy mushroom sauce that was both rich and well-seasoned, creating a delicious and hearty dish.
Overall, it was an excellent lunch experience. While the meal was not cheap – totaling 111 euros – the quality of the food and the enjoyable atmosphere made it worth the price. We left satisfied and pleased...
Read moreI ordered the Pot au Feu it arrived very quickly, too quickly in fact, within a couple of minutes. Sadly the vegetables and broth were all luke warm. The waitresses seemed really nice and l told them l was a private chef before l sat down. When l finally managed to catch one of their eyes as no one had come to check on me l politely said the pot au feu was lovely however it wasn’t served hot. It was whisked away and reheated. I then asked for mustard as none had been offered. The french man on the other table had a plate with mustard, cornichons and sea salt, all the normal accompaniments that come with Pot au feu. However l guess because l am Australian l was put in the tourist category even though l live in France. So very very sad to be treated like l am not aware of what french cuisine is as it’s a lovely looking restaurant....
Read moreIl y beaucoup de bistros à paris et nous en connaissons beaucoup. Ce bistro est exceptionnel. This is located on a quiet street in the 16th. In Passy. Lots of French people and, since there are a number of Americans in the neighborhood, plenty of them as well. The managers Victoria and Lucas are high energy and very welcoming. We like to speak French but they and the staff speak perfect English and are all friendly. It is a classically complete French bistro menu. Everything from Foie de veau and rognons to excellent steaks, veal, and salads. The wine list is small but highly selective and very reasonable. Lots of fun. We went there three times recently and each dinner was perfect. You will...
