Eglise Note-Dame de Grace de Passy 〰️〰️ I am here as an American, to let you live through me, the experience of visiting this church. First, this is not a tourist monument, and it would be more simple if a local friend took you and found a parking space on the street. Once that is done, you will enter an experience that you never knew. You will enter another world. The quiet creaking of the old wooden floor. The filtered light coming through the stained glass windows. The small wicker chairs that hold you so upright. And also something that I will never forget, a prominent smell of a combo of candles, many flowers, and burning insense, which fills the whole church. An organ plays, and a young woman sings with a voice from heaven. As you later leave, you will ask yourself, "What is this world on the street, with a bakery, a fish restaurant, a shoe shop?? I don't know if you are in the mood, but a combination to this would be the Passy Cemetery which is less than a mile away.
