This place just opened in my neighbourhood so I thought I should try it.
I had a cheese burger with fries which tasted great! I'm certain that the food I ate was home made as my plate was particularly flavourful and my fries tasted of fresh potatoes as they should and had close to no salt added to them. The place was very clean spacious and I would characterise as relatively minimalist.
As I said, the place is quite new, I therefore hope it will stand the test of time. It's also really inexpensive for what it is, my cheeseburger was about 11€ and it was, as I said, very fresh and quite copious.

Read moreAn authentic neighbourhood café! "Chez Gustave" is the kind of café that foreign travellers think of when they think of France, and Paris in particular. Located not far from the Effeil Tower, the owners offer Brasserie-style cuisine at reasonable prices. Moreover, they offer a breakfast at a decent price and, above all, the coffee is good (from experience !).
Don't be fooled by some of the other establishments on Avenue de Suffren, which are tourist traps. English and Spanish ( notably Mexican Spanish) are spoken in this café, so you won't have any trouble making yourself...
Read moreUnplanned stop, unassuming little place, basic decor but my god this place is punching above its weight, The female server was very informative and food came out hot and quick, ordered rib eye and duck confit, creme brulee, chocolate cake and all of them were excellent. Have bookmarked this for our return to Paris....
