Civetta Trattoria Italiana — Restaurant in Paris

I really enjoyed Civetta for a date night in the heart of the 7th arrondissement, tucked away on a calm and charming street. We sat outdoors, which made the experience even more pleasant highly recommend if the weather allows!

Starters: • La Caprese: 8/10 Simple but incredibly fresh ingredients. I would’ve loved a small twist to elevate it • Seabream Carpaccio: 7/10 The fish was fresh, but I didn’t enjoy the garnish

Main dishes (shared): • Pizza of the Day (zucchini with fior di latte): 8/10 — Never had a pizza like that before, and I really loved it • Calamarata da Vittorio: 8/10 — Simple but perfectly executed. I would have preferred a bit less tomato sauce, as the pasta was overwhelmed

We skipped dessert because I was full, but I did have two Negronis and they were excellent. Not the easiest cocktail to master, but they nailed it.

Service was fast and efficient, which is a huge plus. I’ll definitely be coming back to try...

The Place Is very very cozy! The food is Italian with Italian chef on the helm. Tasty and qualitative in terms of ingredient used. Now the big improvement point: the service. We have been here since opening several times since the opening one year ago or more. No progress! It is a total mess. The staff is unprepared, totally disorganized. There is no leadership, no guidance. Result is spending 2h to have an entry and a pizza, chasing multiple time the waiters. They don't even observe what the tables need, where they are and the pace required! We went again today, we stepped out after 20' awaiting just for the menu. Shame, that's the big big sticking point the owners...

The restaurant is located in a beautiful district, near many embassies. It seems to be a new place on the Parisian map. Great food, truly Italian decor, and a pleasant atmosphere. It's the unique atmosphere of this place that I remember the most. I rate the service as neutral; it takes some time for them to get into the swing of things. The place itself is worth recommending; you can escape the hustle and bustle of Paris, feel at ease, and relax. Very well-prepared Italian dishes, although the prices are a bit high for Italian simplicity, but this didn't bother me due to the large portions. A very cool, innovative way to pay the bill...
